I currently have Nitto Terra Grappler G2, would like to replace them with beefier tires possibly off-road/trail , appreciate any recommendations.

Cooper STT PRO's. Extremely good off road. Rides good and wears good on road. Much quieter than the Goodyear Duratracs I parted company with. On my 2nd set of STT PRO's. 1st set went 48K (40K on my trucj and 8K more on a friends. I'm at 40K on second set. Should see 10K or more additional.

SO i have decided to give Cooper STT Pro a shot, I know nothing about tires but based on your and others rec in this thread I'm going with STT Pro. Pricey tho, dealership quoted $330/tire + install. Amazon is doing $250/tire, dealership decided to match the price. Will leave feedback here once I have the tires installed. Thanks a bunch!

I went from GO15's to GO33. Insane tire. I love how quiet they are. Japanese people make the best shit. That's kind of why we are all here lol.

I went with falken wildpeaks AT3 when changed thing up on my FJ. When I was shopping they were the best value for the dollar at the time. If cost was no object though would have gone with SST Pros, just not sure if i would have gone with 255/85 or 285/70's. Always keep an eye on discount tire, they usually have some decent deals and some rebates going. Probably their next biggest sale is gonna be Memorial day though.

x2 on the Falken Wildpeak AT3. From a looks perspective, they kind of remind me of the KO2, but they are very quiet on the road.

Also, for what it is worth, they are made by a Japanese company too!

OP - What size are you looking for? Amazon has them for $132/piece for SL or $170/piece for E-rated for the Falkens.

    I agree,

I work for a German/Japanese company. The approach is the same no matter what they build, our japanese stuff is rigid and lasts forever, the german stuff is an AMG on the autobahn, fast as hell and full of tech, just be ready to cry when you get the repair bill.

I have also used Hankooks on various vehicles over the years and was really impressed with their AT's for the money.

I nearly went with the hankook dynapro atms. I most reviews were good on them, but more than a few complained of excess road noise once worn to about 50%. Any experience with that? Also, on the wildpeak they are snow rated with the snowflake on the tire.

I had them on my F250 it’s a 7.3 which if you’re not familiar it’s a loud motor so I didn’t notice any road noise. I was very impressed with how long they lasted also. Only other vehicle I’ve run hankooks on are my wife’s Ford Edge. I may not be the dude to ask though because people say General Red Letters are really loud on the road and I hardly notice them on my F150 Prerunner

If you get a good deal on the hankooks I wouldn’t hesistate to run them.

My truck had a brand new set of Geolander A/Ts when I bought it. At first I had myself convinced not to put Duratracs on until Geo's were wore out. Then I found out the Yokohama's didnt wear.

    BTW. Duratracs were pitiful

Anyway..Good looking tire. Would not be. Opposed to trying them.
