Yeah I'm aware you can load files into the program. Its like 3D printer schematics... So does anybody has the file for some sides for double cab?

a few people on here are designing our own. I don't know how any of us feel about sharing what we have come up with. I'm still in the process of designing mine.

WOuld love if someone had a DXF, if i end up making my own i will just let other people have it. We are all on the same team here, Prinsu is way to expensive.

I might eventually sell my design but I want to get it patented as my own before hand so I don't run into the issue of another person/persons saying I stole their design.

So you ripoff prinsu and think you will get a patent!? That's hilarious.

Well I don't see why it will be impossible to patent or copyright. even if prinsu holds a patent on their design, there are multiple companies with similar designs to that of Prinsu. Uptop, victory 4x4 are just 2 of the big companies currently using a low profile aluminum design. Not sure how I have ripped off prinsu since I've spent the time to measure all aspects of the roof line myself, then spent a few hours designing it from scratch in CAD. but hey im sitting here trying to make my own instead of just asking a few times for someone else to share what they have come up with. Sure it might be hard to get a patent or copyright on this but that's my problem to deal with if it comes to that.

@MESO The design itself. I'll be honest that I'm not sure what would need to go into that or if copyrighting the design is more accurate. You would probably be more familiar with the process than I would. Btw nice job on the low profile antenna for the Tacoma.

I hope you get banned for life for your insane logic. You wish to profit only, rather than share with the Tacoma community. Shame on you.

@Stryker420 so because I'm not willing to share my hard work with you and instead wish to use it to my benefit instead I should get banned. Ok sure sounds logical. Cool story bro

Yup.... I'm over here sweating bullets over all the great points about my skewed moral compass on what I should do with this roof rack design.... ohhh what to do what to do..... i think i need an adult

I honestly think the roof rack market is saturated. Unless you have a distinct design (something like UpTop’s) the rest just kinda all look the same. Changing a few angles/or slotting on the side panels is about all you can do for design differences.

@MESO you are totally correct. At this point it is just for me. I would love to try and make some money off it as we all would with something we come up with that might be liked by others. I have some ideas for a few other things that might work better as there is less of it on the market. I might hit you up for a collaboration if your interested.
