Nope, wrong again.... no where did that Instagram post said the 3rd gen Tacoma blower is coming. It's coming when they feel like making it. They don't owe you guys anything. It's a business to make money plain and simple. BTW I read the same email from them last year when they redid the 2nd gen Tacoma blower. All hearsay

Actually on their facebook they posted on Wednesday that is specifically said for the Chevy guys... · Instagram ·
It’s official! Something many of the Chevy folks have been waiting for, but the only way to find out is to sign up for our email list by clicking the link in our Instagram bio; press release goes out Thursday morning!

Wrong again? I never mentioned an Instagram post so get it together. And yes it is relevant when you email the company directly and they say for sure it’s a busniness plan and coming in 2018. Would they lie to us we’ll thats for you to sit on and think about. They’re having development issues plain and simple due to Toyota’s cryptic ecu or the lame 3.5 isn’t a good platform.

Yea but that was their edited status. Here’s what they originally said. I think that’s mostly why some ppl are upset. No big deal. There’s just a bunch of enthusiasts who want it badly lol.

If you followed the development of the new FJ/4Runner supercharge the delay should come as no suprise. Go look on the T4R forum.

3rd Gen’s have been trolling Magnuson for months on social media and they have been trolling back. Enjoy the show  but don’t get mad cause they tease us some of the members here have derailed many of their posts.

Magnuson doesn’t give updates on product development for any vehicle. So until we hear from them all this is pure speculation.

I think the most annoying thing in this thread is Lord Helmet continuously responding "they dont owe you anything, they dont owe you anything" but i've never seen anyone say magnuson owes them stuff.... I have seen emails between users/magnuson saying the 3.5L would be here early 2018...

See you're learning.... Magnuson doesn't need to explain anything to anyone. I see a lot of users here feel they are entitled to a blower from Magnuson ASAP. I also have seen plenty of emails from users and Magnuson. It doesn't mean it's going to happen right now. Everyone needs to chill out and either wait for the final product to arrive or move on, plain and simple.

Your opinion and like I said before... all hearsay right now. Nobody knows anything about the 3rd gen blower except Magnuson.

I’ve been into a supercharged wranglers before my Tacoma. I had a 13 jk with a ripp kit. They use a centrifugal blower. It was tons of fun. Everyone praised magnuson for its low end torque. But total power gained from there 6k dollar kit was 60 hp. That to me is not worth the price. Either the tuning was holding a lot back. Or the blower was severely under sized.

Most likely it was sized/tuned to the most the stock engine internals could handle...

I know with the brz/86 supercharger kits, there is a threshold they all stay under unless you want to rip apart the engine and put stronger components in

my guess is the tuning since Matt @OVTune was trolling magnuson a while back for not being able to crack the tacoma ecu and having to ask him for the info needed to crack it

Stopped by the Magnuson booth at the off road expo and asked them if they had any plans on releasing a supercharger, they said that they are working on one but they're having trouble cracking the ECU.

So, If any of you owned Coyote Mustangs you would know Magnuson is garbage in the coyote world. There are so many better options, Whipple Roush, VMP Vortech, Pro Charger all perform better out of the box. The fact that we have a thread pleading for them to give us a product so we can give them thousands of dollars and they build replacements blowers for cars that come with factory blowers that are in some cases a very minor upgrade if at all, is a joke.

Whipple is light years ahead of them in terms of technology, power reliability. You have boosted 4x4 F150's with a few minor fuel (fuel Pump, injectors) upgrades and a tune running low 10's (10.3)no weight reduction on stock truck tires (9's is easily going to be attainable). Magnuson would be the last place I would go for a Supercharger unless they proved reliability, power and that they actually had a clue how to tune a Tacoma with their product. The whole we are having problems with the ECU is a lie or they just shouldn't be touching anything 3rd Gen and tell people when they ask we don't have plans to develop one. They obviously have not tried to reach out to anyone at the former TRD team that they worked with developing the 2nd Gens Tune and Supercharger or OVTune who cracked the ECU last year.

My 2 cents buy a TRD Catback/Intake get an OVTune (see about 12-15 WHP, better shift points , throttle response, MPG) call it a day.

Found these guys, they have been around for a while it looks like. I asked if they ever considered a Tacoma kit, I mentioned the tuning seems to be the reason Magnuson won’t produce a kit.

    There response was

“No the tunning is the easiest part..we are looking at a couple more car's.. I'm doing the Lamborghini and Audi 10 cyl.. after maybe”

If theyre catering to cars like Lamborghini and Audi something tells me Tacomas are at the very bottom of the list of priorities lol

Are you thinking the Colorado/Canyon after market community is bigger then Tacoma’s?

No, none of the above...they seem like they're focused on performance and sports cars, not everyday midsize pickups. The quote from them you posted sounds less than promising that they'll ever turn their attention to something as relatively dull as a midsize pickup when they have the customer base of Lamborghini and Audi. I think Magnuson is far more likely to develop one eventually
