    My question is:
    Is a Socom 16 + a Tippman AR-22 = Colt King Cobra + $200
I’ve got a King Cobra up for sale and I have someone wanting to trade me the Socom. This was his first offer and of course I’ll counter offer, I’m still thinking about it. But according to online prices the Socom 16 is about what I’m asking for the Colt.

Are you already trying to sell the Colt or is it just a sort of trade thing?

The SOCOM 16 is a $1600 gun. Does that answer your question?

The SOCOM II has too much crap on it and waaay too heavy.

Also ordered an HK wide fore grip and bipod along with some extra mags a sling (every rifle needs a sling) and a manual for take down

nice, they are fun. I picked up a match trigger from hkparts.net and really happy with it. Going to put any optics on it?

Nice! What trigger pack did you go with? I’ve read the stock triggers are extremely clunky because they were made to withstand a 25m drop.

Optics... not sure. I did opt for the welded on rail to be optics ready. I have a trijicon ACOG on my AR but don’t wanna spend that kind of money anytime soon lol. I might keep it as irons for a while but have been kinda looking at an eotech or an aim point.

I’ll likely end up with another ACOG just because they are so reliable but down the future a bit.

Sure are...that's why I haven't had one up until now. A local shop has had this new one sitting there for a couple of years. 2016 was the last year for the .22LR version. It's been marked down $150 for the last couple of months, and still no bites. Last night they were having a clearance sale and offered an additional 25% off. Hmm...a new-in-box out of production 77/22 for less than what a lot of used ones are going for? Deal!
