Yeah, I bet the ladder works by the tailgate, but in warmer weather and light winds I generally keep the back open for the dogs and easy access in the morning. I just hop down and have the kitchen (tailgate and fold out table on swingout) and coffee setup without much hassle. I'll potentially keep the 270 awning up all night too.

I got the email saying it was heading to powdercoat on 01/15/2019. But, it went in components produced on the leader board a week or two before that. So, about a month.

Just got the email stating I’m about 12 weeks away from starting the build. I’ve read this entire thread over many months, and I’m sure it’s mentioned in more than one place, but does anyone know the estimated time between the start of build and ready for pick-up?

I’m #265 on the leaderboard, btw.

Thanks for showing your shower setup. I was thinking of something along the lines of your original setup. I have an extra long tent pole to put in some of the GFC hole.

Anyway it’s way more expensive, but I saw Kinsman is planning to offer a quick deploy shower curtain. Maybe they’ll figure out a way to make it work with the GFC (side panel open, preferably).

Itd be pretty easy to mount the kinsmen shower to the gfc using their awning brackets. You could mount it anywhere on the track you would like.

I was reading this forum from the beginning and forgot about this. Does anyone think price will actully come down like willy said so long ago? He said the plan is for mass production. That's probably a long ways out. At the time price was $5000 now $5750. I doubt price will ever go down. Probably up.

Everything is for sale for the right price, especially when it’s profit. No setup for a while as I’m working on suspension stuff but I’ve always loved Iggy’s stuff and just had to ask :D

Decided to cheap out and buy an ebay awning. I really wanted a 270 but will use this for now and see how it holds up. Actually for $99 shipped, its amazing the apparent quality is this good. The cover has a quality zipper and built with heavy fabric. It sorta looks like the seller got a quantity of last generation ARB's. I haven't mounted it yet pending the purchase of the GFC awning brackets. It was shipped fast; less than a week.

Nothing wrong with a budget awning. Nice find.

I’ve had the same one - Where the buckle meets the cover can wear down and cause a hole. Also tighten up the bolts on the inside for the arms. It works well.

    Looks good for the price.
Does it just have a channel running the full length for mounting, or?
