Rack coming this week and.... am I missing something?

went to check for bolt home spacing and drop rail mods needed before my rack gets here next week.... no holes?

If you feel the tape you can feel grooves of the holes where the bolts will go. I just cut a little slit on the tape. I’m not sure what’s underneath the tape but I thought to just leave it to help serve as waterproofing.

For peace of mind, use silicon too.

 

I prefer their way of punching holes into the weather strips for cleaner result.

i marked and punched holes in prep fro the rack. that tape is on flawlessly. i thought it was just a blank metal plate.
