Thanks man! Yea I redid the grill using a 90s 4runner emblem. Didn’t think you’d be able to notice it much in that pic. I think the chrome is because they’re powered

I'm never 100% sure where I end up to stay. I moved so many times. Every move is temporary. It's just sometimes you die before the next move :D. I wanted to say is that my Tacoma will stay with me whenever I go before I make the final move to the place 6 ft under.

I just bought one ... like Weds. this week.
1995, 2WD basic, manual just about everything (less to break & easier to fix hahahahaha)

Looking back, mine’s probably the only 2w one on here!
Also, it’s pretty stock & original (best I can tell)- cept for the frame, which looks brand new.
The engine is in great shape just under 180,000 miles. The body has some scraps & lots of scratches. A paint job is on my
    longer-term “to do” list.
(Dealer photos, it’s been raining since I got it)
“It’s rainin Tacos” to the classic disco tune about men men

What tires are you running & on what size steelies?
Mine has 14” & I have 15” in my shed, from my xB2. I’ve started exploring street tire options on both & find it very lacking.
I’d like to keep the steelies & would rather not get 16” unless they are very light rims.
Am I weird for liking the look of steelies?

Steel wheels with the trim rings. I loved that look. Unfortunately this truck got hit by a 30’ box truck and is long gone.
The stock 1989’s came with 14’s and chrome trim rings.C2856C76-E30E-441F-B05A-97EC777D54EC.jpg

    Anyone’s build earlier than 4/95?
    I’m wondering where mine compares.

I was worried about the rust- it was raining & I only took a cursory look at the frame, not knowing it was a major issue.
    Here’s my rear underside:

Your looks good. I guess they don't use chemicals on the road where you are driving.

When I got recall notice about the frame coating I started to read about frame problem. However my truck lived all life in California and was clean like yours. Where I am now they use road salt like there is no tomorrow, so I'm buying Fluid Film by gallons. Saving my best truck in the world :)

I have EWD for 95 an it has 4WD diagram with push to select 4WD. I you look at the pass side dash you will notice no airbag which was added in 97.

That one looks like top of the line truck with all options included (unlike my bare bone).
