I recently went shopping for an older toyota pickup and came across an 80's pickup. It has around 165k miles, manual, and is 4WD. I wasnt able to test drive it, but from what I saw it was not in too bad condition. The frame does have surface rust but not alot. Although I couldn't pop the hood so I dont know what repairs it might need. They want $2,800. I was wondering if its worth trying to fix. Those guys want to send it to Guatemala or somewhere in Central America. Ive seen their work and it aint good. I would like to restore it to something like in the picture. I'll put a picture of what it kind of looks like below. Below is what it resembles. The real thing is now where near this condition. Ill put pictures later this week to show you in what condition it is in. JUST POSTED PICTURES IN PAGE 2

Not really, average is between 3000 and 5000 typically.
Edit... that one your looking at does not look to beat up.

1996 Tacoma 4cyl, manual, 4wd, pewter pearl. Custom valved Icon coilovers in the front, custom built rear shock relocate with 10" King 2.5" dia reservoir shocks, Badland bumper with superwinch 8500, rock sliders, 33" BFG KM2s on new steel d window wheels. I need to make an ad for it. It had a tiny bit of body damage but it's a solid truck with lots of time and care put into it's build. I'll be touching up the body damage a bit when the weather warms but here's a couple pics.

That's a nice truck you got there. I was going to buy a 2000 Tacoma Manual 4x4 185k miles for 4,500 but they sold it before I got the chance to look at it
