    Hi,

I want to keep my truck as “stock” as possible and have found the FJ light switches to be the best looking ones. Does anyone know if these can fit on the Tacoma blank slots next to the ATRAC and USB/Aux areas in the center on a 2nd Gen?

NO, that switch is as large/Tall as all the switches on the left side of the steering (Fog, Diff Lock, Inverter).

This is correct. Some people replace the Tacoma fog light switch with the FJ fog light switch. The FJ switch has an indicator that lights up when the fog lights are on. There are more terminals in the wire connector for this, so you need the FJ wire connector also.

For anyone that has replaced the stock fog light switch with the FJ Fog Light Switch, do you have instructions with hopefully pictures on how to wire this up the correct way? I have the switch with the connector and pig tails.

    Thank you in advance

So many ways to skin the cat...which ever you're comfy with, and if you look closer it's the other FJ switch he's giving notes on (AS), not the LS here...

I love OEM no matter the cost, I had them in my 2nd gen. Here's a crappy pic.

@caribe makaira, So I went and looked and I have the PT297-35070-AS switch. Do you know what the difference is between the 2 switches? Should I swap mine out to the PT297-35072-LS and than I can just follow your instructions?

The AS switch uses all 6 pins while the LS only uses 5 pins

BF3CF0CB-EEC0-4CC3-9F9D-FC40BA9EFC89.jpg I believe that is the connector I bought with the switch along with the green terminal wires, but will verify when I get home

Edit: just checked, this is what I have

So since you're replacing the Tacoma Fog switch with an FJ one then all you need to do is create the jumper wire. All removed wires from the vehicle have a place in the FJ connector...

And add the wire to go to pin 85 of the fog light relay.
