Hi! Hope someone can help me with a compatible retaining clip that fit to rear sensor OEM 89341-0R060. Some guy hit the rear bumper and clip broke, but clips are not sold separately. Just need the clip, sensor works perfectly.

Two options... 1) go to a u-pull-it junk yard, I’m sure you can find a compatible unit there, or 2) check Amazon for Toyota knock-off sensors (found some ranging in price from $18-$26) and just use the clip portion... check product pictures carefully for fitment. The Toyota new part price for the entire sensor is outrageous!

Thanks for responding!!!! I found this one in Amazon, looks identically. Maybe I should run the risk for $18. The other thing will be, how do I separate the sensor from the retainer without breaking pins? Any special tool or trick?

They pull off with a little massaging. The sensors themselves are not as sensitive as the oem stuff and the clip won’t be as robust but it’ll work.

Like blue moon said... and take your time and use small tools (plastic preferred) to assist. Be diligent and did I say, take your time yet?

I am assuming the Tundra and Tacoma sensors are the same size? Let me know how this works out for you. I may do the same route you took.

HI! I got the $18 sensor today from Amazon, and for my surprise the retainer is a perfect fit in color, texture and size. I'm posting pictures, I also did it myself (not bad for a woman) without unmounting rear bumper.

Awesome! Does it match the other sensors in size (regardless of fit)? What was the process for replacing it?

Thanks for your advice. I did it myself with a small screwdriver and was perfect. 20190313_160646.jpg 20190313_155629.jpg

Yes it did match, by the way the sensor is the original and the retainer is replacement part. I will keep the replacement sensor as emergency backup.

    Process:
    • very small screwdriver to pin out clip from the sensor and some sensitive massages as one user said in the blog.
    20190313_160646.jpg
    • I pushed the sensor inside the bumper, and it drop out easily.
    20190313_155453.jpg
    • then push retainer a bit to the bumper and at the same time put the sensor on the other side.
    20190313_154813.jpg

And that's all. Very easy steps that takes 15 minutes.

Awesome. Thank you for the information. I will order this today.

Did you have to unplug the sensor at all? Mine is the far left sensor so I am not sure if the access will be easy or not. Haven't looked.

I didn't unplug the sensor. There's no plenty space in that bumper, I got lucky with small hands.
    Good luck!

I just had this problem, hit a post and I need to replace the ring. Do you think this will work?

I wanted to get the same hoypeyfiy one but it looks like Amazon doesn’t sell them anymore. Anybody use another one or know of one that I can buy that’s similar? Just need to replaced the ring.
