Where did you get the black bumper part where your front plate goes, been looking online and can only find bumpers and not the black plastic cover.

    Did the Rav4 mirror mod.
    My 2 cents advice.
    1. Heater wires & crimp are thin & easily damaged. Be gentle & use small pliers.
    2. Plastic tabs on mirror break, it must lined up before snapping mirror in.
    3. Some people have had great success just yanking the mirror off. My mirrors were very tight inside the white plastic motor housing, it took some work with a long screwdriver to pop them loose.
    4. There's a specific spot with a slot made for prying the mirror loose. see pic.
    5. A suction cup to hold the mirror during removal & installation was well worth $6.

By far one of my most useful mods. Love being able to see traffic 2 lanes over. Would be very worthwhile for anyone using a topper. I broke 1 tab on the first mirror and those are extremely tight heater connectors.

Is this a kit. Link to what you used. I hate everything rattling around in there.

I was gonna steal my fiance's mirrors off her Rav4, to which she said "Only the day before I turn in my lease". Hahahahaha
    She loves the blindspots.
I decided to buy them new because of the tabs easily breaking & just in case the dealership made a big deal.
They have new management which are checking everything in detail.

I couldn't stand the rattling tools and the tangled tie-downs as well! Not a kit, home made.

    Thanks!!!

Thanks! Bought a 4x8ft sheet of ABS plastic to make this, definitely have a LOT of left over material.

They do and definitely have enough give so they won't damage the fender.

I figured showing it was better than just saying they were fine.
