    will 4wd 3.4l coil springs work for a 2wd 3.4l?

What springs are you looking at getting?
My understanding is the suspension components are interchangeable, but if you post what you're looking at we can help confirm.

    I assume you're talking about a 6 lug pre-runner, not a 5 lug...

If that's the case, then yes, anything that fits a 4x4 will fit the prerunner of a comparable year.

Honestly though, I don't see much of a reason to spend $85 on used coil springs. You can get brand new ones for $50 a pair from Rockauto... You have no idea the history of those coils. I'd assume they are just as worn out as the ones you're trying to replace.

I’m trying to replace cheap duralast loaded shocks on my truck for Bilstein 5100s.
But I’ve heard bad things about the acdelco or moog coil springs on rock auto (something about them being rounded and not flat which won’t work with Bilstein 5100s. And that they’re also too short).

    And yes it’s a 2wd prerunner (6 lug)

Yeah, I've heard the MOOGs might sag relatively easily, but IMO no worse that what I'd assume to be worn out stock coils. I can't say anything about them being rounded or whatever.

Are you wanting to get a little bit of a lift, too? If so, I'd hold out and get OME 881s or whatever is appropriate for the weight you have.

But yeah, those springs should work fine as long as you are still using the stock top hat and lower spring perch.

I was thinking about getting the ome 880 as they provided very little lift and my truck is ever so slightly raked at the front so maybe those springs would level it out?

Yeah, I think those offer like 1" of lift, iirc. Leave the 5100's at the lowest setting. When I had my 5100s on the front, I has the stock (worn out) coils on the middle setting.

With only 1" of lift from the coils, you could get away with going to the middle clip of the 5100s (adds another ~1" I think), but I wouldn't go any more than that. Since you're a 2wd, you don't need to worry about CV angles, but you can get into issues with your alignment if you go too high without making other adjustments.
