    What @BartMaster1234 said..

And IE: 4x4 without the cool factor of having the locking dials.

Perhaps I missed it, but out of curiosity why did you choose a twin stick? My understanding has always been a twin stick set up equals duel cases...obviously not always the case.

Not enough to have a build thread.
Twin stick allows for low range in 2 wheel drive. Makes everything more independent and controlable

    + cool points

Makes sense...but with the hubs unlocked, and in ‘4lo’, wouldn’t you technically be in 2lo since the front wheels are not engaging? There by not really needing a twin stick? Not trying to thread hijack or knock @Uphillshunter by anymeans, just trying to gain some knowledge.

If you have ADD your CVs are always turning. So, I'd be burning through my CVs on my 45 minute drive (one way) to work... Is the reason I wanted manual hubs.

I can have true 2 low without turning my CVs

Finished up some odds and ends today. Ran the breather for the front diff and greased the LBJs, UBJs and tie rod ends.

Double checked the trans fluid level as well.

Is this the entire parts list you need to do the 4x4 conversion? I want to start gathering parts at looking at prices.

Bummed I can't get a donor vehicle. I have nowhere to keep it. So I'll just keep an eye on prices and jump when they're low.

EDIT: Actually, it looks like as long as it's on a trailer they'll allow it. I'll have to keep my eye out now!

When I lived in a dorm for college I let my parts truck sit as long as possible between my roommates Dodge and my Tacoma. Eventually campus police discovered it and left a warning. Bought me a few days while I figured out where it was going.

Why did they care that you were keeping parts in your truck? Did they think you guys were ripping people off?

Only worry I have with keeping parts in the truck is getting ripped off myself, but I like the out of the box idea!

What was the reason for swapping the VSS? I thought normally all you had to do was extend your wires? Was this b/c of the electrical vs manual sensor?

Gotcha! cool, I recently bought an 02 pre-runner as it was cheaper than any 4x4 I could find locally so I'll be converting this over to 4x4 as well.

    Right on

Let me know if you have any questions. AZ seems to be a good place to be able to find the parts you need (from what I've heard).

I think there are a couple shops down there that do a lot of solid axle swaps. I'd look for them and see if they have the parts piled up that you need.
