Hi guys, so I have my 2003 Reg cab 4wd Tacoma, with a dented driver's door. I have tried pulling it out with suction cups, did not work. So I want to take the inner door panel off, and access the dent from the inside (hoping to just push it out with my hands, or if necessary use a rubber hammer.). So my question is, is the outer door panel accessible when you pull the inner panel off? Thanks

Going to depend on where the dent is on the door but yes there is access to the outer panel

When you are looking at it, the dent is right smack in the center/ slight rear of the door.

You will be able to get to it with your hand...probably not a mallet, Watch a 1st gen door panel removal vid, they are helpful to see the tips and tricks for removing, and will also show you where to access will be.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
If the paint isn’t broken a paintless dent repair person could pop that out nicely and not cost too much money

Before you possibly make it worse, I’d at least let a paintless dent removal professional take a look at it. Those guys can work miracles for the surprisingly little that many of them charge. When theyre done it is easily as good as a body shop repair except the paint matches because they don’t use any. If you have a good truck with paint in good shape it might be worth it.

Yeah the paint is not the best on it at all. Multiple scratches, dings, rock chips. Passenger door has a very long deep scratch in it also. The truck is going to be due for a paint job in a few years. Right now I want to upgrade it

Yeah the paint job is not the best on it right now. Lots of rock chips, scratches, big huge long scratch right down the whole passenger door. Going to try to get the dent out the best I can. I am going to throw some hot water on it, when I am ready to try to push it out. Might help with the paint.

we always used a deflated football or basketball back in the 70's to pop out dented doors on a 66 pontiac tempest. Remove the door panel, jam the ball inside and air it up. How did we dent the doors so often. Hit a few deer in south texas, driving country road at night. that pontiac took a licking and kept on ticking. but the dent people can do some extreme magic these days.
