Tailgate Applique

So ... I'm looking at this tailgate appliqué (abs panel) but I can't find any real info. The seller says it fits 06-19 Tacomas but I'm thinking that's BS and he means 2016-2019 models. I asked the seller if this was a mistake and he claims that it is accurate.

Does anyone think this might contour to a 05-15 tailgate? If I knew it would fit I'd buy it in a second and have it color-matched.

Handle opening is too big for ours.

 

Honestly I dont think it would look right... I dont think it matched the contour of the tailgate and I feel like it would look like those fake chrome stickers people buy from walmart and put on astro vans...

Looks too big for theirs as well. Chinese manufacturing at its finest.

 

Seems like it was designed for the 3rd Gen; designed to display the "Tacoma".. TegoTaco's right, the opening for the tailgate handle is too large. I'm going to also guess the curvature is different. I wouldn't chance that and buy it.

No I definitely won't chance it unless they show a picture of it on a 2nd gen. I just think they look pretty smooth on the new Raptors.

The only thing I like better on the 3rd gen is the tailgate. I was looking to make our tailgate look more like a 3rd gen.
