Plug dictation is based in my mind of of load abilities .Stock plugs would do under dalily driving. But I was curious how incorrect my 24"s are. Under boost and a meth shower should 22's be better? I'm tempted. After all. This fine thread taught me I can pull em without disturbing the big bitch.

Couldnt hurt to give them a shot and see if it runs any different. I didnt notice any difference when swapping from 22s to 24s with meth, and ive run it with TRD tune and Ucon.

I'm going to go trd tune shortly. Probably 22s as well. Thought I would go basic and see. I've read before trd tunes excessive rich makes it safe and great for 2.5 and full exhaust. Perfect feed back for a custom ovtune job. Again. Feedback encouraged.

If you define complete loss of power to go over the pass as fun, then sure!

I know this has been brought up in this thread at times, but can I get some pics of where you guys relocated your coolant pumps to accommodate aftermarket bumpers and winches??

Glad to hear it! Cured mine right up as well. Might be something @12TRDTacoma may want to consider adding to the OP in the section on aftermarket fuel pumps.

    @12TRDTacoma

Am I reading you post correctly?

    These:
    NGK 6619 Iridium Spark Plugs LFR6AIX-11 - 6 PCS *NEW* https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IAGN4UY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_BzqLCb90SWJ8V
Are a substitute for the 22s that come with the SC?

If I’m pulling the SC, I’m going to swap the plugs too.

I’m pulling the SC to do the solid coupler. Also doing both belts. And I have a couple of wobbly idler pulleys. Doing all four of those too.

    Everything turns into a project...

IKH-22 Denso spark plugs are the equal to NGK heat range 6 plugs. So, yes, what you are attempting to get clarification on is correct, those will work as a valid substitute. It is actually my suggestion moving forward that folks use NGK plugs over Denso on their trucks.

Denso is tailored for manufacturers, NGK is tailored for consumers. The build quality between the two is representative as such.

Okay, so now I have a question because I choose not to go with NGK 6619 LFR6AIX-11 because it did not meet the same specifications of the IKH22. The gap on the Denso IKH22 is 0.031" and that's pretty close to what my plugs were when the supercharger was installed. At the time I even found that weird, since naturally aspirated the plugs in the Tacoma are gapped to about 0.043" which happens to be the gap on the NGK 6619 LFR6AIX-11. Instead I went with the NGK 2309 LFR7AIX spark plug, which has the same specs and gap as the Denso IKH22 except it's one step colder (with no cost increase to be one step colder.) So here's the question, what gap should we be running on the Supercharged trucks? I mean if Toyota installed the kit they didn't regap the IKH22 plugs on my truck so the gap was 0.031" and ran fine for years like that. Actually on the install instructions from Magnusson they recommend gaping the plugs a 0.032" during installation (Page 21, https://www.magnusonsuperchargers.com/v/vspfiles/downloadables/manuals/89-89-40-004_RevE_Toyota Tacoma 4.0L.pdf). I asked a buddy who does a bit of drag racing for his opinion and he said that while narrower gaps are a little worse for power, like less than 5%, they do get a bit hotter and clean a bit better on anything that has WOT used a lot.

Links to confirm above information from the manufacturers:
    Denso IKH22 https://www.densoproducts.com/product.aspx?zpid=11205 0.031" factory gap
    NGK 6619 LFR6AIX-11 https://www.ngk.com/product.aspx?zpid=9871 0.043" factory gap
    NGK 2309 LFR7AIX https://www.ngk.com/product.aspx?zpid=9875 0.031" factory gap

I should add that I have over 1K km on the NGK 2309 LFR7AIX without any issues and no noticeable loss in power. Actually I've gained back a little at cruise, I notice less shifting with the extreme winds here, and better fuel economy but of course my old plugs had 30K miles on them and were garbo so that's not exactly a fair comparison. I'd love to hear some thoughts.
