ive been out of the car audio game for a while so my skills are a little rusty. Im comfortable with all of the wiring and extra hook ups. I’m trying to install an alpine ilx-207 using the metra 99-8214tg kit in my 2011 taco. I can’t figure out how the kit is supposed to mount to the head unit. The unit has a single din body at the bottom but a double din face. It doesn’t look like the factory metal brackets will line up with any of the holes. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also, before you say it I know I shouldn’t be messing with it if I can’t figure out the damn dash kit!

I have the kit but the head unit doesn’t match any of the installation pics. It’s a double din face with a single din “brain”. The factory head unit is like that as well but the guts of the unit is on the top and on the alpine it’s on the bottom....

I got it in using the factory brackets. I used only one screw into the head unit. It works but I'm not a fan of how it sits in the dash....scoshe dash kit is on the way!
