Who here is looking forward to bringing dishonor on their family?

I'm a From junkie, I've played all of them to death, including getting the true ending in Bloodborne, and beating all 3 Dark Souls with multiple characters. I can't get enough of the tense, mess up once and you're probably dead combat. It makes these games generally be the most rewarding games I play in their given release year.

I'm really excited to see what I hope will be a little bit more cohesive of a storyline, and also the white knuckle combat that I know will come from the samurai take.

I'm preloaded now, and will probably hit the ground running at midnight EST as soon as Steam lets me in- initial impressions post will be incoming! Feel free to share your experiences as well! Console doesn't matter.

I've put maybe 3 hours into sekiro and it feels alot like a mix between assassins creed and bloodborne. Combat is very unforgiving- the windows for dodges and parries is super tight

ive never played assassins creed actually. maybe ill buy the game this weekend. ive still been meaning to play the blooodborne dlc (which means i have to new game again) and then get the ds3 dlc and i just picked up borderlands since i never played it, plus mxgp pro. haha. there just isnt enough gaming time and my attention span has gotten shorter as ive gotten older

sounds like itll be fun, curious to see how you like it after a bit more play time.

I've never heard of this game until now. I've been looking forward to Ghost of Tsushima. It looks like a better game.

I know nothing of Ghost- but if you havent played any of the other soulsborne games I can see why you wouldn't know about Sekiro. It's not for the faint of heart, but DS3 and Bloodborne were hugely popular so I figured since the series is more "mainstream" now itd be more popular

battle royals are fun, quick games no grind just jump in and play. obviously pvp game modes aren't for everyone but there's still a huge interest for br modes. I don't think they are going away anytime soon.

I'd argue the time investment to actually be winning regularly at BR games is not insignificant. And if you're routinely in the top 10 of games, you're averaging 15-20 minutes per game, so 3-4 per hour, not counting matchmaking time. They're fun, but there's really no denying that they are super repetitive. Fortnite does a good job of throwing things in to mix it up, but Apex and flubg are really repetitive, and getting loot or anything to freshen it up is the literal definition of a grind. But yeah, if you just want to hot drop, shoot a couple folks, and don't really care if you finish well, then sure, they're fast games

I guess playing the same character or using the same weapons every match can be repetitive, I wouldn't consider the encounters repetitive, but I also prefer pvp matches over single player gameplay soo.

well i ordered it and the Fire Fades edition of ds3 ($20 on Amazon vs $25 dlc only on the ps4 store  makes zero sense, cheaper to buy the whole game with dlc). im going to continue playing borderlands 2 for a while though so ill get to it eventually. figured id support From Software while the game was still new.

Started the game last night and got past the first official boss.

Really enjoy the gameplay mechanics. The grapple arm is fun to use and so are the movesets. Semi difficult gameplay but doesnt seem as bad as bloodborne was.

Not really a spoiler but if you havent read/watched anything it may be something you havent dealt with. Its just a game mechanic

not a fan of the dragonrot they implemented that make npcs sick if you die too much. Just have to work on resting more often instead of pushing forward

Re your spoiler, you can fix it later.

I agree with it being easier feeling than bloodborne, especially once you grasp that its an offense oriented game. At that point it get downright easy in spots. Just getting past that initial relearn is the rough bit
