That's not even a genuine OEM Roof Rack, a real one is anywhere from $250.00 or so

That's the Toyota part number. You could always ask the ebay seller who actually made it.

I like my oem. Folds out of the way for low wind noise when you are not carrying anything. The aftermarket prinsu styles are likely stronger, however, I personally would put more than 200lbs of weight on the roof. It all translates down to the factory screw inserts no matter how tough the actual rack is.

Anywhere from 285 to 365 on ebay. Make sure it's real!

But my question is, anyone have bought the ebay "knockoff" one ? compare to the genuine one, does it's worth or not...?

My advice is to keep the drip mouldings you take off. I got a Toyota rack for looks as well, and now I don't like the looks of it anymore. At first I did but lately I think I'm in danger of adding too much crap to the truck so something's gotta go. That and I saw a Ridgeline with an OEM rack and that put a fork in the whole thing for me.

I had sold the rubber strips so had to go buy new ones. The dealership gets $105 EACH for those but my sales buddy was standing there and in the end, they gave them to me for $75 each. I still can't believe that part is so expensive.

I have the eBay one on my ‘13. It doesn’t fit as perfect as the oem, but it does the job. I had to add a couple screws and a push-in retainer per side to mount the front of the plastic rack to the metal bracket. I haven’t strapped anything, yet, but think it will carry a kayak just fine.

I don't need one but I'm sure it's over $300 eh? I like the 2.5 gen grilles so can save some money there.

I bought one of the OEM factory look racks on ebay. It was not your same vendor, but as far as I could tell they were all the same. I returned it. It was really poorly made. Especially where the folding arms attach to the pivot location. The plastic had all kinds of extra flash on it from the mold. When I set in on the roof it did not have the same roof contour line. I ordered the factory one from the dealer. Way better quality and fit.

Garbage...after buying 2 and returning them, it inspired me to make my own Prinsu style one for about the same amount of money. 9A92A877-E4EE-468C-ADA0-255AB53DFF35_zps_ffc060c19f5a4328b544a8cb21928bbf42aad57e.jpg
