Did you see it in person?
Seems like a craigslist scam to me.

I agree, Craigslist is full of scammers that “farm” for phone numbers, addresses, names or whatever info they can glean then sell.

They will say they are military getting ready to deploy so they aren’t with the vehicle. They have to have an uncle or son or brother take care of everything. And it’s most likely an eBay scam from there

I recently fell into a credit offer scan from an eBay listing that was allegedly posted by a dealer. As soon as I gave my phone number to the guy posing as the seller, I get a call with a credit offer. After making an appointment for the next morning to see the posted truck, the guy said the owner took it to the auction. The truck never existed. The whole thing was about getting my number for some instant used car credit company.

One time there was some car listed and photographed next to some Florida "Scrub Palmetto" trees in my area. The background scenery just didn't support the seller's location in Arkansas. I called for kicks and it was somebody saying they just received the car in a sticky divorce. They said they were in Kansas and needing money to get back to their home in Arkansas where they have the title. What a scam.
