Hamstudy app downloaded and email sent to test on the 16th. Here we go!

 

Not necessarily because they looked you up. but they are using logging software for the net and when they type in your callsign and hit enter, it populates the field entry automatically with your name and the time you check in. The program is able to download the callsign database.

 

Saw this guy, had a killer ham set up. Curious to see if anyone knows him. He was driving a taco after all.

Is anyone from this forum going to Vermont Overland Birdwatching Safari (formerly known as Vermont Overland Rally)? I'm trying to come up with a freq list for my group to use on trails, probably all 2m.

So just want to say thanks to everyone who helped me out with figuring out what to buy and giving,ideas on the install. Tonight during the delta heavy rocket launch i was able to listen into the control room via a repeater we have here in the space coast.

 

What rig did you end up purchasing? How did the install go? I picked up a Yaesu FTM 400 and hope to install it this weekend and start making some contacts!

 

So i got the kenwood tmd710g, mated with a mag mount antenna on the roof(broke the cable for my ngo hood mount) install was ok. PITA to run the power thru the firewall. But love it. Just need to remake my rj45 dash connector. Found out today i can ptt, but not use the other buttons on the Mic.

 

Found anything down there on the 1200mhz freq’s Yet with the d710? It’s all dead up in my area.

 

On 1.2g?? Havent even tried. Did 345m today for work. Had to shiw our radio onboard worked so we transmited from the ship to my truck. Allowed us to get certified for avation operations.

 

Yup 1.2g. I scanned it a while back and nothing here on it. Surprised me.

 

Hmmm. Might have to check it out. After the launch i was checking,repeaters and a net was going on. Kind,of cool
