im curious if I purchased a blank tray, would a twin ARB compressor fit there? My plan was for the top of the fuse box, but this looks nice if it would work!

Awesome thread for mounting just about any power source/accessories!

Maverick....if you get the chance, I have a few questions for you.

    Pop!

Going with Spro and buss but have questions on custom power.

Got my RTMR tray yesterday. Looks great. I was impressed with how professionally Maverick runs his business.

Looks like I'm one of the few people that didn't want to go with the SwitchPro or Spod (give me good ol' switches and relays any day), so if anyone has some pics of their RTMR install I'd love to see them. It'll be a few weeks before I get seriously into this. Need for it to warm up a bit and quit raining/snowing/sleeting/whatever else. In the mean time, I'm going to be looking into powder coating or anodizing.

Who is the tall, dark stranger there?
    Maverick is the name.
Ridin' the trail to who knows where,
    Luck is his companion,
    Gamblin' is his game...

Got mine installed today. Great product and great service. Usually I just attach everything to the battery and end up with a rats nest of wires. This, by far, is a better option. I still have a few things to take care of down the road, but for now it works.

    Before and After pics.

I too can't say enough good about Maverick. He answered all my emails (and I can be a bother) and did a great job explaining some options that are available. Just switches that will work for me, and a nice clean (and safe) install under the hood. All my relatives have Jeeps (me too but they're currently in pieces) and I can't wait to show them how this works out.

Excited to get this electrical project working...
Just ordered custom length cables from @Mr.PowerTrays
My biggest question is how people are connecting the OEM pos neg battery cables to military style terminals.
I can probably enlarge the holes to 3/8” but not sure how the positive will turn 90 degrees. For the negative I’m guessing you just cut off the clamp and form a ring connecter from the stock material.

How'd you get the lugs on your battery with the stock wiring? Can you lift up the POS cover and take a pic? I have a lease so I don't want to cut off the factory cable terminals. Thanks - looks real neat and tidy.

Finally got the new terminals on. To get out of stock neg. clamp and pos. 90 degree metal see photos. Basically use a Dremel, step drill, and large pliers.
I was skeptical the positive terminal was going to be too short. But after lots of bending and straightening it worked out.

How are you guys cleaning your trays with the bus bars and Switch-Pros and other electronics on it? Just hosing it down or using a degreaser or something? I need to get the dirt off mine and don’t want to short out my wiring.

I would disconnect the battery or remove it for a deep clean. Then wait until stuff is dry to connect power again. Or you could dry clean with brushes and compressed air

Got into unpacking everything and Maverick puts labels on all the hardware! First time I’ve ever seen this - thank you.

For those of you using braided loom smooth out the full length as you snake it from the other end. I got in a hurry as it was going so well and snaked it all then discovered that the loom at the other end had doubled back inside itself. Had to pull out and start over.

Bought the wired Bussmann from Tacomapros. The mounting plate from Maverick. Just have to add my own Metri-Pack connectors, lots easier although I’ve read wiring thread 3X and it’s awesome https://www.tacomaworld.com/members/tacozord.145945/. Not sure how to copy and paste so hope this gives credit to the master.

Just finished the install of the Bussmann tray this afternoon. Install was fairly easy, just needed to work around the wiring underneath the tray between the Bussmann and OEM fuse box (Dropped the bolt a few times and had to go fishin). Otherwise a great fitting piece and quality product.

I bought the Surface Mount 100A Blue Sea MRCB and realized that I needed to drill a circular hole to mount it properly. I initially decided to do that to keep the battery cables mounted below the tray. (a major pain) that I probably wouldn’t do again, and would change it out for a Panel mount MRCB instead(Maverick sells both on his website).

You can also get them at West Marine or online as well. I do like how it looks now all wired up and ready for accessories. Thanks Maverick @Mr.PowerTrays for the great product. Also like the personal touch of labeling your hardware and the hand written thank you on the bill of sale. Super impressive. Just wish I had ran across the TW discount code before I purchased it 832CE831-5407-461B-B3B5-E673A66306A7.jpg

Have not seen any power tray installs with the clutch fluid reservoir relocation bracket. The rubber hose that runs from the firewall to the reservoir will have to relocate and perform a 90 degree turn when mounted. I zip-tied the hose in a couple of spots so it would not be a sharp 90 degree and pinch the hose. Word of advice, make sure you have run everything you want through the firewall, very tight fit after it's in place.

This is a wonderful product and after adding more accessories (12v cig and USB in bed, rock lights, tent light) I'm wondering if a LVD (Low Voltage Disconnect) is necessary. I have the blue sea 12 fuse panel and breaker.

What do you guys run? I like the blue sea LVD but no room to add another switch inside the truck. Looking for alternatives from all you crafty people!

I don't run one, but it wouldn't hurt. The other option is to have a jump starter in the truck in case you leave something on. The downside is you have to remember to pull it out every few months to make sure it's charged up.

I have that exact model saved in my cart, haha. I like that idea of a jumper. I would prefer to avoid the problem by putting in a disconnect since the aux power runs on a separate block that is always on and the truck sits for a while between use.

Got everything mounted in truck today. The power tray from @Mr.PowerTrays is great, as are the directions. It was kind of a PITA to get the M8’s in as the Bussmann mounting bolts were blocking the M8 bolts. If I had to do it again I might mount the tray and wire the Bussmann with longer leads and then install the Bussmann last. The prewired harness from TacomaPros really helps with the install. New battery terminals are enroute. Now on to switches.
