    I have an idea....

But i’m not happy with how my truck is corroding. So this was last winter as my primary unit. I will have to get something else 4wd to drive in the winter for next season. So...4runner it is.

Or, studded tires for DRZ and it can be the Dirt and Snow Scooter , then get an FZ for good weather!

that is enticing with all the ice we had this winter....but the DRZ is liquid cooled and wouldnt like the cold unless i blocked off the radiators.....

and i wouldnt like that cold without heated gear, wet suit, and bigger balls

I got an fz07 last month it is amazing. Wheelies for days, jobs of torque and 50 + gas mileage. Looks great it's light, and I can actually carry a passenger now. Sound is by far the best I've ever owned. Probably going to sell the wr and either get a wr250r or KTM 300

    I want a WR450 so I can whip up on some CRF450Ls

I would definitely still ride an FZ07 before i bought an FZ09 but the 2017 FZ09 i rode was intoxicating.

The WR is a bad bike, that is for sure. Problem is, I'm always wrenching on it ('06). It's currently not running because I let it run out of gas and it sucked in some bullshit while on reserve. Changed filters in tank, rebuilt carb, still nothing. Gonna rejet this weekend and check the valves then listing it.

The FZ09 definately fit me better (6'3 230). I chose the FZ because it gets better MPG, is still fast as shit, sounds great, and is easier to keep wheelies rolling (throttle less snappy, less HP). Both bikes really kind of suck past ~80MPH due to wind buffeting, FZ-07 still gets 0-60 in less than 4 seconds. The 09 is actually cheaper stock in my area, probably because the 9 is so much more expensive to insure. The 7 is ~150 a year, so about 100 more than my Supermoto. I got this one with full sliders, windscreen, exhaust, LED's and integrated tail for 5K (5.5 after taxes and whatnot). Pretty nuts that my 14 year old WR will more than likely sell for 4K, so that makes the FZ pretty hard to beat on price

Would be sick to have the FZ and Tenere 700 next year, wife wouldn't see it that way though lol

My golf with winter tires does better than my Tacoma on icy roads.

No point in getting a rust suspectable 4runner when your rust suspectable Tacoma is rusting.

toyota will give you a new frame or by the time its not road worthy youll be able to afford another. i say use what you got but thats my opinion
what winter tires do you have? my gto did alright in the snow but i may look for some next year unless i have access to my truck (gf used it this year)

    Continental Wintercontact SI.

From what I read, if you aren't going to run studs, make sure to get studless tires. If they are designed for studs, that means they rely on them for ice grip and are shit without them.

But they’re cheap and reliable. Plus i can coat it with fluid film and get a few years out of it.

Meanwhile i can tear my truck apart and properly fucking undercoat it like toyota should have.

My frame warranty is up 9/30/2019.

After that, if i want a frame i have to buy one myself, or steal one.

Did an oil change on this heap today.

Filter, o-rings, and crush washers. Even added a filter magnet i bought a long time ago.

Forgot to add my extended fuel mixture screw that i found, also ordered that a long time ago and never installed it.

Still runs great... at 14,438 miles.

HOWEVER, the battery is finally fried. I’m finding myself bump starting often...so its time for a shorai
