Hey out there, doing the valve cover gasket replacement process. When changing my plugs, it had NGK single electrodes, swapped out to Denso K16TR11 duals...cylinder 5 had a heli coil. (Just bought this one)
    1. Will there be an issue with just leaving that ngk in there? Plugs looked good, just putting new ones in because.
    2. Can you get a coil to wrap on a new plug that will thread in to the head?

Looks like a nice job in progress.

Did the heli coil come out when you removed #5? I see 14mm plug heli coil kits are available at parts stores like Advance and O"Reilly.

With #5 already out, I would replace it to keep everything Denso.

    I’ve never messed with a helicoil/thread repair-
It was removing strangely, like —uhoh, something is not right- and sure enough the spark plug thread body was twice the size of the new, and darker than the shiny new ones. I don’t know if you get a sleeve to go over the new plug and insert it. Or even what size to go with if that’s how it works.
I was just glad the old plug threaded back in and tightened fairly well, decided to leave it for now til done, see if it runs well , and get some info.

    Thanks
