    What are the best manufacturers?
I was looking at this kit.

Mitsuboshi timing belt, an Aisin water pump w/ gaskets, a Koyo tensioner.

    Thoughts?

that's the one to get. make sure it's a reputable seller. apparently knock offs exist. I've bought things on Amazon that were advertised as oem that were not.

search around this forum, there's an ebay seller in one of the timing belt threads that sells a whole kit, all OEM parts for around $250 iirc...

It's what I got. I'd post the link to ebay myself, but I don't have it bookmarked...

I recently installed this one from AirCabinMan:
15 Piece 3.4L engine TIMING BELT KIT WATER PUMP Genuine OE Manufacture Parts

There is other stuff you may want to replace while you're in there, depending on what's been done before. My timing belt and everything was original at 196k, so I replaced just about everything I could, including fan bracket (Aisin), crank pulley bolt, A/C belt idler pulley, and radiator hoses.

Noticed that there's a kit for vehicles equipped with an oil cooler and without; wonder if mine has one or not.

Going to be replacing my radiator soon (upper plastic has a tiny crack), so I may as well do everything else.

I put one of those kits (Aisin) with mitsuboshi belt, blah blah blah on our '05 Sienna. Still running strong 30k later. High quality components, that is the only kit I would use on my vehicle.

If I can make a suggestion. Timing belt job is an excellent time to replace all those tiny hoses that goe to the engine oil heat exchanger. I'm still kicking myself for not changing them. Same with the fan mount, that should be changed sometime.

My A/C belt tensioner bearing was pretty gone as well but fortunately, I had the Amazon $8 replacement bearing on hand.

I also used this kit. Its working out great.

Edit: Installed at ~194k. It’s been in for ~12k. I also replaced the crank pulley bolt.
