From what I can tell thus far, the speedo calibration is still a manual gear wheel. I’m not sure in HP of the speedo variance settings. This will probably come into play during scanning or data logging.

I have been swamped with a POS Jeep for a buddy and other family commitments.

I thought I read earlier on in this thread that the mpvi2 could recalibrate the speedometer for larger tires and different gear ratios?

I adjust mine using HP Tuners, and the tire manufactures advertised size. Its closer, but still not quite right, when compared to GPS (closest thing I got to check accuracy).

I am about 6-7 mph off at cruising speed which becomes an issue when you can typically drive about 5-7 over the speed limit with no issue around here. I think I am over the limit by 5-7 and then remember I am actually 10-15 over.

I measured and updated that entry but it did not appear to adjust my speedo. I will double check my math but I jacked up the truck then wrapped a string around the circumference. 2(Pi)r to get my radius converted to centimeters and adjusted my final drive ratio of 4.88:1.

HPT/justDSM tuned factory ecu, URD Headers, JFR Y-Pipe/l 3" exhaust, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Maggy SC (JFR ported), JFR ported lower intake manifold, 76mm tb, 2.5 pulley, 640cc injectors, CSF Radiator, custom electric fan wit Autocoolguy controller, JFR SC pulley wrap mod
This is only recommended for higher boost applications i.e. supercharged with small pulley, turbo?, etc. as it is not needed if your max maf is not close to 324.8.

For those that are exceeding the stock maf of 324.8, I have an idea that I am most likely to try that will give us a max maf reading of 441 g/s!!! (thx @JustDSM)
This will consist of a Tundra MAF, Tundra size intake tube (3.58" inner diameter), a maf harness adapter (if ones available) or rewire a Tundra maf plug to our harness, and a Tundra calibration file. The wires are different (thx @loginfailed for the wiring diagram).

What this will allow us to do is MAYBE copy/paste the Tundra maf calibration directly into our ecu which should be the correct calibration because I would be using the same maf and intake size as Toyota has already calibrated for us!!!
This would make it easier for everybody to tune because we would all be using the same maf values. Clear as mud?

We already got the tube dimensions, wiring diagram, and a tune from a 2010 Tundra 5.7 so now I need to get all the parts together to test this thing out and let @JustDSM sprinkle a dash of his magic for fine tuning if needed.
The maf part # is 22204-0F030
Intake tube inner diameter at maf = 3.58" so a 90mm inner diameter tube would be within a mm of the stock Tundra. Thx @loginfailed

I wonder if a Tundra airbox would fit in our truck? It would look factory, the airbox lid has the maf flange so we would be covered there as well. (not me, I'm still planning my sc intake hack).

Does anyone know what aluminum maf flange will fit a Tundra maf? I see a bunch for LS, Mustang, etc and I wonder if the Tundra maf would fit with one of those?

@JacksonTacoma this may be right up your alley!

Whenever you make a change to your tune, make sure NOT to overwrite your previous tune. Save it as tune?????rev1, etc. Then you can use the "compare file" tool to check your previous vs new tune to see if the values you wanted to change have actually changed and to your liking.

So are you still running your 455s on the 2.3 pulley and the HPTuner? If so what’s your duty cycle on them with WOT? @12TRDTacoma

Yes I still am. Nothing larger was needed.

I am not aware as to how much IDC is on them as of this time, Justin will be taking a look at that whenever he gets a chance, as I was and am curious as well.. I am not worried though, as he showed little concern over the trucks current state of drivability across the RPM band in every state of pedal effort.

For those that are interested in how the HPTuners process works I'm uploading some very "low budget" videos so you can see the process for yourself. I'm no Youtube Celebrity or content creator so please be kind! LOL

Here's the process to "Read" you're ECU:

As posted above, here's the low budge process to "Write" the tune/file to the ECU.

*Note* You may want to FFW through the write process as it goes from 0-100%, I don't have software to edit the video to trim that out. Sorry!

If you want I can make a video tutorial on how to load a good software to screen record and you can upload the file it creates straight to youtube. Much better than using your phone :D

I wonder if I can use my BD flashed ECU. I have another ECU (NA), not sure if I can get someone to load the TRD tune.
