    On my way....
    Hi all,

Rolling a 2019 Tacoma TRD off-road LB. Just upgraded to Method 701 trail series rims and BF goodrich K02 265/75/16.

I am on my way back to the shop to get them balanced for the third time! No matter what they do the steering will shakes at about 65 mph and it’s a very vibratey ride. The first time they put on the new rims as tires and just balanced , the second time they road force balanced. Today they are going to check other things.

Has anyone had this problem recently? I can’t seem to find any threads that are new about this, everything is from 2016 what the heck could be going on ?? My truck was smooth and no steering wheel shake with the stock rims and tires. I imagined a little more road noise which is fine but this is crazy and not normal.

    Thanks for any input !

Ps: just scoped the weights on rims :

    16 weights on front right
    16 back right
    10 front left
    16 back right

Does that seem like a lot ?

I took them off my Ram after about 6 attempts to balance in 6 months . Each Road Force Balance said they were good. I put 35" Nittos on and were fine

Zero issues with my KOs and KO2s for the last 6 years. Been great tires.

Yeah Method race wheels said no rings necessary. Is it possible I got a bad set of tires? Can a quality tire like a K02 come wonky?

I had been running BFG AT's on my work trucks since they came out in the 70s. Thats probably 15 sets or better over the years. This is the first time I had to replace them to get rid of a tire vibe. first for everything . Michelin did not own them all that time so maybe things have changed ? I have since retired so, no work , no truck , no BFG AT's nor anyones AT's for that matter ......

3rd Attempt today still vibrating and steering wheel shaking.

This was the second road force balance , they readjusted all the weights and now the weight count is even crazier.

The below is the number of actual weights on the rim not ounces.

    28 front right
36 back right problem child ?
    10 front left
    27 back left

Thinking now my method rims are wacky....

I had those on a Jeep. Shit tires in my opinion. Sold the Jeep. Wish I had never bought them.
