Best front and rear combination to get 2.5 inches of lift and good ride quality

285/70/17s on 17x9 inch rims. Billstein 5100s set to 2.5 inches in front, none in back.
I currently run a 2005 TRD Sport 4x4 with 285/70/17s on 17x9 fuels with a -12 offset. I have the bilstein 5100s in the front set to 2.5 inches of lift and the bilstein 5100s in the rear set to 0 inches of lift. I did some trimming and I only rub on the cab mount in reverse on the drivers side at full lock. The ride quality is very stiff and you feel every bump. I want to get some 20x10 Fuel Assaults with a -18 offset wrapped in 285/55/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. What is the best option that will give me great ride quality. I don’t do any off-roading besides going up and down dirt roads and I am willing to do a cab mount chop. I want the front and rear shocks replaced so I would do a coil over such as an ICON or Fox. If I was to do an adjustable coil over, what is a good height to set them at without having a terrible ride. I am willing to pay what it takes to get the best ride quality. I just want a better ride which won’t be too hard to get compared to what I have.

I would like to get 2.5 inches of lift in the front or more without sacrificing ride quality. I don’t really want any rake so I would replace the rear leaf springs if needed or whatever it took. A little squat doesn’t bother me but I don’t want the rear higher than the front.

The larger the wheel, the smaller the sidewall. The smaller the sidewall the worse the ride. Better suspension helps your case, larger wheels/smaller sidewall hurt your case.

    Ever owned Kings? No

Ridden in plenty of vehicles with Kings/Icon/Fox. I have Fox currently.

I have FOX, they are almost 8 years old and drivers CO started to seep oil now. Love them but ordered these. 3.0s are too much money, 2.5s will work great for how I will use them.

Until you put a rake or small child in the bed and you’re driving down the road looking like you’re truck is prepped for launch!

A little rake is okay. If you level it out, it was squat with weight. Unless you do an AAL. But then you may sacrifice ride quality because the rear lead springs are more stiffer to handle more weight.

So you decided to buy new shocks instead of rebuilding a serviceable shock? How much are you selling your Fox for being they are obviously garbage and no good?

I'm going to say, with confidence that nobody needs a 3.0 on a mid travel setup. It's a way for King to sell more shocks.

Do you want the absolute best?

Fox DSC coilovers and shocks! But get ready to dish out a kidney for them.

We are running s group Buy on Fox, King and Icon suspension. If you send me a message, I’d be happy to chat and help guide you in the right direction and throw together some kits for you with the best prices!

My FOXs are the 2.0s I am now stepping up to 2.5 Kings, will rebuild the FOX COs then sell them. They still look brand new.

I could’ve hooked ya up on these too, but they are extremely complicated and when it comes time to rebuild them, no one wants to do it.
