    Gotcha. I’m definitely no expert.
I was just trying to give OP my measurements since we both have Dobinson’s 314 coils.
    Thanks for the info.

His measurements seem accurate since he has some weight on his truck. We are only 1/2” different.

So strange. I had the same problem from the 302 coils. I was 1/2 “ lower than everyone else running them. That’s why I went for the 314’s. It just seems like I have goofed up the install with those cam bolts. I will have to try and loosen them and retorque on ground tomorrow.

I saw that when I went to get the pic. It seems bowed but am also wondering if it seems that way because of that isolator pad. Not sure how it got like that as it was perfectly set when I put the coils on. I used the method of decompressing the coil with my floor jack and put the new coil over the shock and re-compressed with floor jack. The I re-used the OEM top hat and mount.

It is right side up. The pig tail is down and turned all the way in it’s correct position. I am starting to think they are being constantly compressed by my LCA.

@PapaRee thanks for chiming in. I am confused as well if this center hub to fender measurement with stock being 21”. I would say that you are def sitting higher than 1.75” just from your pick. Stock rear is supposed to be 22”. If measure from literally dead cent cap, This would mean that my 3leaf AAL from headstrong only gave me 1/2” lift in the rear as well which just is not possible since the pack itself is at least an inch taller. If I take my measurements from the bottom lip of center cap than all these measurements make sense. I know that I am trying to get these numbers squared away and figure out my suspension but things just are not adding up. I know for certain that I am more than an inch higher in the front from stock where I sit now but when I measure from dead center cap I get 22”, bottom of cap I get 23.5. Looking at your truck u def seem higher than 1.75.

2 issues I can think of off the top of my head....

    1) you trade a lot of your down travel for up travel and depending on your driving style and the conditions you usually offroad, your truck's "ride" may suffer as you would be hitting your droop travel limit routinely .

    2) Beyond 23", at some point, the inner CV boot fins will start to rub on themselves. The further you go beyond 23" the more they will rub until they rub constantly at ride height and they will wear through and open up. Depending on how bad they rub can cause them to fail quickly or over the course of a long time. (years ago I did this to myself by lifting my front end too high, but caught it before the boots wore through)

If it’s not a 700# coil you will get sagging on the 3rd gens. My OME coils did this too

Not sure Dobinsons is aware the 3rd gen trucks NEED 650-700# coils for a reason

Thanks for that explanation. I am at 23.5" and i have a diff drop kit in at the moment not sure if it will stay. I went with a 2.5" lift in the front 1.5" rear

Ditch the diff drop. Unnecessary with the 3rd gens and can actually cause more harm over time

So this is with a 1/2” spacer for the 1” lift. Do u have pic of your truck from the side? Did u add anything to rear? What is your rear hub/fender measurements? Thanks for your help.

I didn’t add anything to the rear, I wanted to preserve as much of the factory driveline angles as possible, and it turned out the spacers were not only the least expensive, but the least invasive on the geo.

Thank you. I would say it looks pretty good for a 1/2” spacer. Appreciate the come back.

What did you use for the 1.5 rear?

I'm at 22.5" on both fronts. Pretty sure I'm sitting at 2" of lift. 888 coils sagged to only 2" lift.
At 24 3/8" on both rears from the Dakar HDs with minimal weight in the bed daily.

I wonder if having so much lift in the rear makes the front compress more thus lowering the lift?

That's what I'm saying. And depending on what part of the fender you measure to it makes a difference as well

Cut two pieces of painters tape long enough to span two opposite lug nuts (preferably orithoginal to each other). Pull them off, fold in half and Mark center of each. Re apply to the same log nuts. Measure from the mark to the lowest point of the fender flare.

I'm wondering if the TRD OR is stock 21" from hub to fender.

Why is my TRD Pro 20.5 from hub to fender

Am I doing something wrong or is something wrong with my fox suspension?
