Still Rubbing...

Hey All- Queston- I lifted the 19 DCSB a few weeks ago with the Icon Stage 3 lift.. New wheels, and tires, Cab Mount Chop... its is still rubbing on the inner fender guards.......... it only rubs if i hit a bump while the wheels are turned.. So what did everyone do? Any suggestion is helpful...

Did not trim enough off with the cmc. Do you have aftermarket upper control arms with adjustable caster?

Front or back of wheel well?
Maybe just the old heat gun.

Tire size 285/70/17
Yes on the upper control arms with Ball joint
Dealer did the alignment
We did trim the wheel liners a bit.. Its rubbing on the back of the wheel well.. Could use some more I guess..

Tale the caster up to 4 or 4.5 to move the wheel a tad forward in the well will help or trim more, heat gun, pound those pinch welds and then use a rtv sealant for them.

 

Hammer the pinch weld down and cut the fender liner. We do this with every one of our CmC’s That we do

Thank you! Its going back in to get the sliders put on.. so ill have them do this too..

 

Make sure to put some rubber sealer on or it will rust. Or leak.

What's your alignment caster at?

Need at least 3.5 to really help with rubbing.

Also check pinch weld. The plastic over it can rub alot. I have the same size tire and had to cut a lot of plastic too


Looking up from the ground you can see I cut a lot away
Btw tin snips work great for cutting the plastic

If you rub the front just use heat gun

What UCA?

 

I know you don’t have 35s but it will work for you.
