I know there’s some older threads covering this, but I’m curious of the current weigh in regarding this. Is there anyone out there with an aggressive tire in the stock 265/70/16 size? Preferably NOT a 10 ply as well. Can’t find hardly anything that small. I’d even take an aggressive all terrain at this point. I’ve got the Hankook 265/75/16’s in a 10 ply currently and I absolutely hate them. They ride super rough and are very heavy. I have no desire to lift or level my truck.

Pirelli came out with a mud terrain offered in a C load ( 6 ply) they might be a little costly though since the name.

these appear to be the same price as the GDY DuraTrac

other than the tread design, what are the difference between the two? pro and/or con

I can't speak or compare to the DuraTrac tires. My son had them on his 06 Tacoma and loved them in mud & snow. He did a lot of highway running and they got loud and wore fast! Which is to be expected. His mud terrains reminded of a tire I had on my 1985 lifted Toyota SR5. They were 36 inch Buckshot mudders. I don't know if they still make them or not. I have the Firestone Destination all-terrains on my 03 and have 33k on them and they look almost new. Keep them at 32 psi and rotate every 5-7k. I know the factory tires on mine were done about 35k. I think they were BFGOODRICH rugged trail. I tried Bridgestone revo 2's not impressed with them and about 42k on them. These Firestone all -terrains are going to go over 60K for me and do well in snow & rain. I don't go mudding...lol!

Anyway, I like the design of the DuraTracs and looks like they would do well. Just don't know anyone who has had them.

I've been running KM2s for a couple years and they're great off-road. Loud on the street and sketchy in snow until I had them siped.

I have the Handkook Dynopro ATM tires and actually love them, and get 100,000 miles out of them on my 15” rims.
    Snow they are pretty good.
    Water they are excellent

100k is what i am looking for!
what is a set of 4 costing? ... relatively low noise on highway?
i need some better highway rubber
save these duraTracs for the winter if they are going to wear fast on dry pavement

Was right around 600.00 installed if I remember, I did a price match for a less expensive price then the price they gave me with Discount Tires and have the lifetime balance and rotation.

This is the 4th set I have bought from them.
Two on my tacoma and two on my Tahoe.

    Noise is minimal.

They have a very deep tread.
