I don't really either, just mentioning it as a possibility.
One thing I'm comfortable predicting, though, is that he's not going to have the same sort of #'s this year, as more defenses figure out how to slow him down.

Say what...?!?! Kaepernick was always trash... he just had a good receiving Corps, offensive line and a defense that was impenetrable... when everybody left the D... that is when they started going south. Ryan Leaf could have took that team to the Super Bowl.

    o_O

2012 & 2013 his passer rating was in the 90's,averaging 7-8 yards per attempt, AND he also rushed for 5-6 yards per attempt. Not outstanding #'s on their own, but together it made him dangerous; if you busted his pocket he'd take off running, and he could run.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08Tv-yPvw4Y

The rest of his team was very good, yes, but Kaep was no slouch in his first couple of years in the league.
Mahomes is better at both passing (especially on the run) and rushing, but it still took teams a season or two to figure out that Kaep was flighty, so all you needed to do was pressure his pocket he'd scrap the play and bolt. Once they found his weakness, he was done. But before that, he was very hard to stop.

The "athletic run-style" QBs will never succeed in the NFL... I know I dealt with it for years with McNabb. Just like you said... all you have to do is press the pocket and they try to run for it. Mahomes will succeed because at his core he is a pocket passer first. His scramble is more like big Ben or Luck... which is to say run around the backfield until a receiver breaks free then fling it to them. I like the kid, and I know the Andy Reid style will fit him perfectly. As long as they dont get in the way of my Eagles I will root for their success.

Big Ben 10 years ago, maybe. He reminds me of Aaron Rodgers 5 years ago, when he still had Nelson.
Hopefully Mahomes can stay healthy; the biggest risk with those mobile QB's is that they'll get outside the pocket and get cleaned out since they're technically a runner. So fingers crossed for him that he can avoid knee/ankle problems.

Richie Incognito working out for Raiders

The Raiders continue to look for new pieces to add to their roster and that search will include veteran offensive lineman Richie Incognito.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Raiders will work out Incognito on Monday.

Incognito last played for the Bills in 2017 and announced his retirement last year before deciding he wanted to continue playing. The Bills released him, but Incognito never caught on with another team.

He did find himself in legal trouble later in the year when he was arrested following an incident at an Arizona funeral home after his father’s death. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct last month and was sentenced to to 11 months of probation and a 90-day suspended jail sentence.

Incognito was also ordered to undergo a mental health screening and it’s not the first time there have been questions about his mental state since he last played for Buffalo. Garafolo reports Incognito is “feeling well in all aspects” at the moment and we’ll see if he gets a chance to resume his career.

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/judge-in...-tapes-in-case-against-massage-parlor-workers

Palm Beach County Judge Joseph Marx ruled Monday that prosecutors cannot use the surveillance footage video that allegedly shows the 77-year-old New England Patriotsowner Robert Kraft engaging in paid sex at a massage parlor, according to a report.

Lei Wang, 40, and Hua Zhang, 58, who both have pleaded not guilty, face more than a dozen charges after they were allegedly taped providing sexual services to clients at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa, The New York Post reported.

    Marx agreed with previous rulings.

Last week, a judge wrote that detectives did not do enough to minimize the invasion of privacy of customers who did not commit crimes. Prosecutors say the warrant obtained to install the cameras was legal and aimed at stopping a felony-level prostitution operation.

Kraft has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor solicitation of a prostitute.

Was just in Las Vegas. That's all they talk about. I still predict a new level of debauchery for the Raiders when they relocate there.

Wentz gets a $128,000,000 contract! Not bad for an unproven post season resume. Good luck Philly

    Smart move IMHO.

now you put Dallas on the hot seat to pay their unproven QB as well.

Philly playing the psyche out game... I like it.
