Off road lights in Cali law?

    I posted earlier in the thread about my cheap hack job solution for side shooter pods. Want to be clear, I've had them for at least a year and never been stopped for having them uncovered but last week I had a highway patrol officer really eyeball me for a couple of miles.

    Probably nothing but figure not going to hurt anything slapping a cover on them so why not... :notsure:

    If you go up to Big Bear be sure to cover your lights, they've been issuing tickets for it like crazy up there lately. Somehow I've gotten away with it so far but I know several people that have been stopped for it there lately.

    I've been lucky I guess... Ive been running around with the 42" above the windshield and I used to have one on my stock bumper at the same time... No tickets. That being said whenever I do pass a highway patrol I get nervous but I'm pretty sure the light bars of the least of my worries. Something about tinted windows... tire poke... muffler is too loud...

    Same here. I had a 42" light bar on my camper shell for 6 years. I recently took it off because the 55 watt HID's on my bumper are way brighter.
