I saw somewhere that it didn’t last very long, Maybe 15 to 20 minutes. I’m sure it depends on what battery you have.

Looks like Milwaukee says 20 min.

    https://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-m18-cordless-compact-heat-gun/

Which, mind you.. is a lot of time for 90% of tasks most use a heat gun for, like heat shrink on wiring.

For repeat use, or constant.. not so much.

I’m impressed it heats in half the time as the corded version but wonder if they didn’t get to that accomplishment by making the element itself a more fragile, less durable but faster heating thin(ner) coil.

And if so.. is that a replaceable part.

I agree - 20 minutes is a long time to run a heat gun.

I hope the heating element is not more fragile. I'd assume on a cordless tool, everything should be more rugged than a corded tool, since with the lack of cord, the tool will probably be more abused/tossed around.

Wish it was a little stubbier.

Other than that, so nice. Retired the Milwaukee ratcheting drivers with a buddy/coworker of mine I brought into my new employer from our old one. Good homes all around.

Been following this thread, and really enjoy seeing all y'alls set ups. Been wanting to throw mine in there too. Got another (smaller) 3 box combo inside the house, thats mostly bicycle related.

I've got the older & newer SO ratcheting screwdrivers, the newer comfort handle feels better in my hand, but I manage to release the end cap for the bit storage, when I'm twisting it. Also have the 1/4" adapter, to allow for sockets.

And lastly, the pliers racks were a game changer, in that you can get a good bit more in a drawer, by having the pliers on their side.

Where did you find the pliers racks? They look like a great idea.

Did you get this off your local truck that visits shops or offline? What was the price on it?

    Online, SnapOn.com

It’s as fast or faster to go direct than some of the eBay sellers, and cheaper than some of them, too. I bought the full-size from a truck vendor, but out of sheer luck he had it on the truck. I wish I’d bought it straight from SnapOn.com too, in hindsight. Oh well.

I think it was $80-85, I ordered a shank for the full-size one I have, so not sure how each broke sown. Free shipping, though.

Random tools that I rather enjoy....Noga deburring tools.

    Ive got their
-backside deburring blade (second from top)
    -deburring tool (third from top)
    -countersink set (top)
    -larger counter sink (bottom)

The countersink ones are awesome for after you drill a hole. The set will only do up to around a 1/4" hole though...hence the large one. The backside one is awesome for deburring the backside of a drilled hole or whatever. The regular deburring tool is awesome just for whatever.

Side note....you dont have to have handles for the all. Each "bit"/blade/countersink is removable and can fit in other handles so you can get by with just one. Im just lazy :)

Wont replace files for stuff but they are nice for having around the shop
