    Nice.
I had a 55 gal with breeding brown fueliborna.
Some electric blue johanies and yellow labs.
A few of them were quite the characters and amazing how most had their own little personalities.

Sounds like a fun tank. I can’t have anything else at the moment; this guys too much of an aggressive dbag. But I have had him since I graduated college in 2011. Can’t fathom getting rid of him.

There's some awesome tanks and fish in here, I just started doing goldfish aquaponics at the beginning of this year, definitely made some rookie mistakes already but I'm having so much fun with these guys.

    Nice!

Could also toss some rotala rotundifolia in the water. They love the nitrates and keep the water clean. Furthermore the gold fish will probably we at a good amount of it, so you won't have to trim them all that much.

    Looking good!

Never did Fresh Water only Saltwater. Fresh water fish just don't have the vibrant colors I like, not even the cichlids. 13 fish tanks at 1 time all Salt.

Thanks, I'm actually growing some plants up top, but if they can't handle the load then I may add some plants to the tank.

I agree saltwater is definitely more fun to look at, but it costs more, takes more work, and my main interest in this tank was to experiment with aquaponics.

Im getting back into the hobby myself. Setting up a 75g fresh water community tank tonight. Had it up for 6 years at my last place, tore it down to move and never put it back up. 4 years later, its coming out of storage.

Goal is a large community of Cardinal Tetras but that will take a while to get the water here stable enough for them.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
Cardinals are great. IMO, much more colorful than neons. The red in the bottom half of cardinals extend the length of their body, while neons are only red on half of the length of their body.

Just make sure you go through the nitrogen cycle (you can get a bacteria boost to shorten the process).

Without a doubt. Last time I had them, I waited until the tank was stable for 5 months before putting them in. The closest place to get them in my area is about an hour away at one specific store. Too long of a drive to risk them coming home to a tank I don't trust.

They have them closer than that, but I do not trust their health at the shops around here. They are too fragile and the shops have fish just to have them.

I love angelfish, maybe my very favorite freshwater fish. Looks like you may have some little ones on the way. You should separate the eggs from the main tank. The babies will be eaten or sucked up into the filtration system.

28 and 75 fresh water. 28 is a community tank. 75 is 2 Jewels, 1 Convict, 2 large Jack Dempseys that just hide. Had tanks since I was a kid. Nice to look at and listen too.
