Anyone running two sets of wheels?

So I just bought some new TRD PRO wheels and a nice set of tires but rather then sell my sport wheels, which I am trying but I doubt anyone will buy them I am considering keeping them as a second set for long highway road trips. Question is, if you run two sets, did you just buy a second set of TPMS sensors and have them linked? If so could you share the part number? Or, what did you do? Thanks!

I told my guy leave out the TPMS. So soon I will have my summer wheels on and I will put up with the trouble light on the cluster.

 

ECU can only support 4 TPMS at a time. You'd have to repair them every time you swap.

 

Ahhh crap, okay thank you for the info. Okay so how annoying is it if you don't have a TPMS, does it beep like crazy or just a light on the panel?

 

Yeah I like to run offroad on one side and sport on the other.

TPMS is just an idiot lite.

 

You could use the Carista app/device to reprogram your TPMS sensors when you swap wheels. Here is another thread.

Oh I read it fast, I thought he was saying he runs two sets like I was asking.

 

It is "humorous" how humor and proper spelling don't coincide for some people

 

I run steelys in the winter with the TPMS and other rims in summer.

If the light does bother you they sell dots to stick on, I will use just a small piece of black tape if it bothers me.
I usually do not buckle up and that is a red light on, which I don't mind

Since we only get around 2 good months of snow around here, maybe 3 on a bad year, and as of yet I am not off roading much,
I would very much like to be able to wear 2 sets. Sneakers and boots if you will. One for just running around and one for getting dirty.

It's good that someone else is thinking about this and good to know that it's not just an easy swap of rims and tires. Though I wish it were! D*** TPMS!

I still plan to do so if I find a set of tires and rims for a decent price.

 

I run a set of steelies in the winter and the light doesn't seem to even stay on all the time. Just pops up once in a blue moon, I have a new set of Sema wheels to put on but have no plans of putting sensors in them either.

There is a thread on here somewhere about how to get the light off, I think it has to be fed 5v all the time to keep it off.



It's on a 2nd Gen I just realized, not sure if this has been tried on a 3rd, but this is the thread. I was thinking about trying it at some point. The 2019's no longer have TPMS in Canada as far as I know, tire pressure is now read through the ABS? Might be wrong on that.
