I've got simms waders but luckily haven't had an issue with them yet. I put one small hole in them when I fell a month back, but I was in the middle of a backpacking trip so I just used the UV knot sense stuff that loon makes and patched them on the stream lol. Actually worked pretty well so I haven't felt the need to replace it yet.

For what it's worth I would recommend it over orvis any day, plenty of experience with them and they always take care of what ever you need.. usually at no charge. I've actually switched to strictly simms hahah but sucks your buddy had a bad experience. I wouldnt let that stop you because their gear is top notch

    Some really cool shit
Finally got on the water for the first time this year. And not even in my own state. Was visiting a friend in Heber, Utah. He is in bad shape with a disease called PSP. Really bad shit. Now in a wheelchair. That doesn’t stop him. Check out this brown he got within 10 minutes of hitting the water.

Wish I had more pictures. Left my phone in the truck. I got one brown this size, as well, but mostly rainbows between 14 and 20 inches. All fatties.

The same shit everyone else has.
He’s not the only one. Their customer service is terrible from my experience.

Orvis on the other hand has been nothing but awesome for me.

It sucks because I need a new pair of wading boots and wanna get another pair of G3’s but I hate the idea of supporting a company that was nothing but shit to me.

Were they dicking you around on the warranty? I tried to have some riprap shoes repaired and they offered a trade-in credit towards the new model should I decide to ship them back on my own dime. Toe caps were coming off both shoes, I decided to just keep them and shoe goo them as a fix. The new model looks like a boat shoe, and they ditched the vibram soles, so even if they gave me the full amount towards them I just didn't like the new product. I went simms on both my wading boots and waders and love them so far - the waders are one of their cheaper models with 3-layer goretex, but they're convertible to hip waders which is how I fish them the majority of the time. I was thinking of getting the G3s down the road and keeping these as a backup set, but I might look into redington/patagonia/orvis if their warranties are comparable.

G3s are great, if you want another company to look at. For the price LL bean makes some quality fishing equipment

Those nets are pretty hard on fish. Look into getting a rubber net style. Also, I'm not a hippie.

Cut & broke off some stuff.
I wish i had gotten LLBean boots and waders instead of Orvis. They seem to fit a bit more loose and comfortable in comparison when i borrowed some LLB stuff.

Big time jealous. Only tarpon fished once. Down in Belize. Saw 5 monsters swim past the boat but they weren’t feeding. Bummed. Some day.

Man, 4 long days on the water and we only saw 1 laid up tarpon in about 10 ft of water off the bar… Did talk to one of our guide buddies who played a 130lb’er for about an hour before they lost it. We got some snook, reds, trout, jacks, and lady fish. Plus we saw manatees, rays, sharks, dolphins, and sea turtles. It was a great trip, but damn I wanted to at least have an opportunity to blow a cast to a big fish haha!!!

Too bad their warranty isn't as good as it used to be but still quality gear. The kennebec waders stand up to the abuse
