Well everyone seemed to have some fun over the weekend, i ended up testing out my recovery gear :cookiemonster:
long story short, was moving the trailer around at the cottage since I've cleared out a larger section of bush

    IMG_20190518_183207.jpg
at least i know the pulley i got from the jeep guys can withstand dragging an 8000 lbs tandem axle trailer around.

Also on a side note; does anyone actually use a trailer mounted winch or am i the only one considering it? :bananadead:

Not yet. The doc wants me to wait a couple months. There is still a lot of muscle damage and swelling from the first surgery. Once I have second surgery I'll be back in a cast for another 3 months.

Physiotherapist cancelled until after the next surgery. The ligament reconstruction failed so the bones are only held by whatever remains of the construct. Continuing physio at this point would likely cause more damage and pain.

Just shows you stay at home and wash your truck instead of using it.

    I hear ya man.
My wrist was blown apart, Took about a year before I was certified for light service then second year I was back in action. Plates, Pins, wires and seemed like for the first 3 months was surgeries every other week. Blah. Surgeons were amazed I got full motion and strength back. But I kept doing my physio all the time.

Bright point is it will help you become ambidextrous, and you get some really cute scars to impress the ladies.

I got my pain pills prescribed as the smaller size but more pills per dose, that was so I could ration them down so I could save some for when the doctor cut them off. You don't have the bones blown away but tendons still ache and hurt longer than you and the docs will imagine. Especially on cold damp days.

Casts, only thing I think about with the cast was how good it felt to scratch when it came off, nurse was laughing when I said this is better than masturbation.

That trailer winch thing must be for working around a trailer park? Since it is electric motor? All the sites have plugs so its easy to use?

    :playball:

    :notsure:

    I have never seen such a thing.:homer:

yeah it's a 120/208v connector attached to it, used a Honda EB5000x generator that purrs like a kitten feeding it.
got the trailer winch originally to try and dredge out some muck outta the lake to get to the sand (clearing out space to make a bit of a beach)
    worked pretty well.

(and no i'm not a trailer park - it's a temp 4 season trailer for when we start building on the parcel of land - lets me stay up there and tolerate the cold a little longer)
