Hyperflash Resistor Adapters

Hello, I am new to the Tacoma world (owned for about a month now) and so far I am loving it.

I have switched all bulbs to LEDs and the only remaining bulbs are my turn signals. I recently purchased some JDM AStar for the front turn signals and they work fine. The last time I tried swapping turn signals to LEDs in my old car - I experienced hyperflashing so I just went back to OEM bulbs.

I was wondering if anyone has used an adapter to fix the problem rather than to do some wiring? They sell these at Amazon with so and so reviews:

Some manufacturers have begun making LED bulbs with resistors built-in. May be a couple months though before we start seeing them hit the market. I know VLEDS makes a resistor that supposedly works pretty well. I just use the Diode Dynamics resistors that you splice in.

 

If you go with the "adapters' you linked, you'll be spending plenty of effort trying to weatherproof those connectors. I think you'd be better off tapping the wires, as long as you can do it properly.

VLEDs sells some really nice resistors with built-in taps. They cost more than the cheapie resistors, but they are a world apart in quality.
