It's the girl's rental. She smashed the bumper on her Rav4. Asian drivers . Lucky it wasn't an FJ... :rimshot:

The Frontier is probably the most clunky, cheap feeling vehicle I've ever been behind the wheel of. The interior of my 2nd gen felt luxurious compared to the Frontier's. The turning radius is horrible, and the doors don't close unless you slam them.

    To many, but never done
I rented 1 back in November....
    Worst truck ever:rofl:
It's so cheap and boring, some of the cars they have are so much better.
I'd actually take 1 of there cars wheeling before that thing.

Before we got the 3rd gen, my 09 had to get some body work done, they gave me a frontier for rental. My wife asked every time we got in it, “your not thinking about getting one of these right”

I broke down and purchased a new laptop today.

I have a reasonably fast desktop (Core i7, 24 GB of RAM), but my own personal laptop is a circa-2010 Toshiba Netbook that runs Windows XP and has 2 GB of RAM. I couldn't deal with it any more. The wife had an Asus laptop from grad school with Windows 7. She broke the power connection years ago and I finally got around to repairing it and it worked well enough, although it had zero battery life. I had a broken line on the screen that I thought was a bad connection between the computer and panel so I took the whole thing apart to investigate. Naturally it will never work again. In hindsight, I think the small human shut the laptop with something inside and damaged the screen.

So I threw all reasonableness to the wind and bought a new machine. The wife is taking a few courses this summer as required for her teaching license so it makes sense to have a portable machine. I may eventually swap the SSD to a larger unit and add some more RAM, but it will definitely do the job.

A Lenovo Ideapad. Has a Core i5, 8 GB of RAM and a SSD. It’s not a screamer, but it’s solid for what I need at my budget. There was a Dell with a larger HDD, but the reviews I read weren’t glowing. I could easily swap the SSD to the larger size for under $40 and then stuff the SSD into my deskto for the IS if I was feeling brave.
