I had the uca out and it was in good shape...or so I thought. Still not sure what is wrong. With construction, my driveway is unusable so it may take a while to figure out.

So I had the bushings replaced but now I think the brand new ball joint wasn't moving. Had a shop take care if it so it works now.

They warned me that the lca bushings and ball joint should be replaced soon.

    Squeak is back

    I read the instructions

Apparently, you don't torque the ball joint until it is under load. Looks like the ball joint is locked in place.

So I finally got to the truck, I had tightened the castle nut too much, the first castle nut was too wide and I was trying to expose the hole for the cotter pin, when I switched to a different castle nut, I should have remove the ball joint and started over.

    Well I did now.

Now I just have to get rid of the armor squeaks

IDK what armor you are running but in your climate I can't imagine the hardware is rusty. Maybe a little shot of penetrating oil and tighten some more

The salty mud did a number on the underside of the truck.

I need to remove all the armor, clean it and reattach it. I have a week off so i am planning to attack it...soonish

Salty mud sounds like here. Maybe replace it all with new greade 8 hardware I have also considered some poly shims between the skids and frame and where they over lap. I haven't done anything to mine for a while I still need to install the +6 brakelines on the rear but i did come up with a fun little light project for the grill just waiting on a switch
