Surprisingly they are handy in a real Jeep (wrangler, not that Cherokee in the pic) because of the roll cage. I’ve knocked my head on the roll bars a couple of times and wished I had something on the old noggin.

With that being said, I’ve wished I was wearing a helmet but have never worn one in the Jeep. Even with the factory “padding” it’ll still ring your bell. Maybe it’s cause I’m tall.. short people may not have the same problem lol

Same goes for any vehicle with an aftermarket cage, it’s highly recommended to wear a helmet when wheeling.. a steel bar to the head isn’t fun

I understand that aspect, but I don't think many of us run a cage and I would think a waiver would clear them from responsibility just as easily. At least that is the option the vast majority take.

Its a state owned place I believe. Some of the blacks look extremely gnarly. Like if you go downhill you're good. Uphill unless you bring a lot of HP and ZF it's a winch fest to the top. Need to bring a wood cutting device apparently they don't do trail maintenance and downed trees are common up there.

So I really need to update my build thread since the weather has turned for the better and got the 63s done it's been rather quiet in here. I can almost hear crickets.

Did a couple of small things today, well one big thing for me. Cleaned the engine bay and fixed my PS leak. The PS was leaking around the crush washers for the bolt to the high pressure hose at the pump. Went to O'rielly to see if they had any. They had one aluminum one and one copper that were for "oil" drain plugs. They just gave them to me since they didn't really have any part number or anything to charge me. Put them on in 5 min in their parking lot and cranked the bolt down really good. So far so good no more leaking profusely:bananadance:

Went to the local spray and wash soaked the engine bay down with the wheel and tire cleaner then rinsed for a good bit spraying out the radiator and condenser as best I could as well. Turned out pretty good could of spent some more time and really gotten it good. Still could use some more on the underside of the hood and around the engine but this is good for me.

Did you cover the carburetor so you wouldn't get any water in it? :anonymous:

You want to spray water directly into the throttle body in order to clean the inside of the engine as well. Pressure washer does a great job of getting water into the hard to reach places.
