Step drill bit + Dremel = messy. Any tips on how to clean out the housing @MESO?
    image.jpg

EDIT: air compressor actually cleaned it all out. Now waiting on the JB Weld to harden!

I’ve noticed that even holding it upside down, small particals may find themselves still getting inside. I think it has to do with a static charge or something. Either way, hit it with some air and should be fine.
You will love stage 2’s... money back guarantee.

Probably not. I have my hands full with fobs and puddles, so most likely next week when I’m all caught up:)

For those that drill you can try stuffing a clothing dryer sheet into the light housing that will stop the static. Make sure its not one of the oily type sheets or you may get smudge marks on the inside of the lens and that would not be fun. To be safe I would try a used sheet it should still work to stop static. I use them for reloading ammo rub them in the powder feeder before adding powder to stop static cling.

Just make sure not to catch the sheet with the drill bit.

Very easy install. Used a torch and a Xacto knife. Very impressive attention to detail in the kit. Also, lights just happen to be bright as hell.

Hoping these bulbs last forever. Don't ever want to replace them.

    Thanks!

I am installing my stage 2's and have a question about the triton bulb. It has an extra lead and comes a terminal connector... is it a ground wire? What are you guys connecting it to?

    You’ll just leave it be

I think it’s for a dimming function of the switchback but that’s used for front drl function.

Are you talking about that wire? @r_to_the_k and @Red18Taco707 mentioned that it is not used since no resistors are installed.

Maybe I’m wrong then about the dimming function but I thought the resistor was used with a y splitter on the main plug

    @MESO

Hey meso question for you. I have a softopper and I'm probably going to wire a third brake light to it. Thinking about using this one. Partsam 1PC Red 15" 11 LED Light Bar Stop Turn Tail 3rd Brake Light Truck Trailer Identification ID Bar Waterproof.

I have your stage 1 kit. In your harness, which wires would i tap to wire this light. I suppose I could check but I figure why not just ask the maker of the kits so there's no second guessing. Thanks!!

Yup. I didn’t use it, just left it dangling... however I might cover the end with a rubber cap since it’s exposed.

I have load resistors on my front turns, so I didn’t need them for my rears...

So I bought the Weller Soldering Gun from the store and used the cutting tip. Make sure you do it outside cause you are melting plastic. It was scary at first but it turned out great. Also, keep cleaning that tip.

At about 2:55 he starts showing where the light gets connected if it were OEM. If you trace back from Stew's harness you can find the same wire on the OEM harness that is referenced in the video.

Edit - I guess it helps if I provide the link... It is indeed the blue wire he mentions. I just did mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pk-Zb7LXfUs
