They get buried in mud but they'll get you unstuck, just need a shovel too. I avoid mud like the plague though

For people who installed a Prinsu, did anyone drill through the molding piece instead of cutting it?

Those X-bull ones work decent in a pinch. (Humblebrag: I'm featured on their IG) but having had both x-bulls and maxtrax, there is a very noticeable difference in quality and capability between the 2. $250 worth? Prob not, but the difference is there.

There is a wire embedded in those rubber strips. The leather punch method has worked the best from the ones I have installed.

I drilled through mine, but as fellow Brosef @Gunshot-6A says...there is a little wire in there that can be annoying. I recommend drilling it on a nice hard surface and just go to town. Takes a few minutes to breach it.

Need to mount it and get a cutout for a front ligtbar.

Looks kinda goofy without a bed rack hahaha.

And for people asking how well wraps hold up, I BARELY touched the mounting foot on the roof and it ripped the vinyl

Also plz don't hit me up asking for me to find you a shell! I've got 15+ PM's asking. Just check Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and OfferUp. Have cash always ready so once it pops up, you're on your way to pick it up. I check at least 20 times a day to see what is new; you're competing with 50+ people always so getting their first is super important.

Hey man. So if I give you the specs I’m looking for, can you find me a good deal on a shell for my truck?

I used tin snips to cut the metal strip at each end under where each hole needed to be drilled and then a razor blade to shave that small section off the bottom of the molding. After that a punch or hole saw goes right through the rubber nice and easy.

I got fed up with it and just ended up taking scissors to it and twisting the molding to snap the metal wire inside lol. Maybe one day I'll do a clean install

    Whole lotta stuff
Yeah I ended up just pulling them off and silicon'ing the holes when I installed mine. Still fully waterproof with on both my trucks. It doesn't bother me at all.

    Things to do:

-Proper LBJ to Spindle Bolts (@desertjunkie760 do you still have the stock ones by chance?)
-42" Plano case to move all the recovery crap and my spare axle out of my backseats
    -Replace carrier bearing
    -More 80/20 crossbars

I make this list here so I remember what to do haha. 25% off for Harbor Freight tomorrow btw, in case anyone needs any tools!
