Got mine in with the aid of an impact wrench. I just dropped the tailgate a few inches and my dad gave it a quick pop w/ his impact. Since it wasn't lowered all of the way, he had clearance to reach the bolt while I held the tailgate up. Took a second but it came out! Install took 20 seconds after that

Nice product. I explained it to my mom who was SHOCKED that anyone would steal a tailgate

Received mine last month. Hardest part was priming and painting. ( especially because it is black  )
Installed with no issues, looks great and clears the plastic trim under the tail light. I did do some clean up on the part, break-edges and some sanding. ( only because I am a perfectionist ) Awesome product!!!

Cleaned up & de-greased the pivot area.

You can see the bolt is designed to bite into the metal, no need for torque specs.

Snap, its in, in a jiffy!

Years ago I had foolishly purchased the GateKeeper for over $30.

But after seeing a video of how it was easily defeated, I never installed it.

    GateKeeper.jpg

Comparing the $30 GateKeeper against the $15 Anti-Tweaker Device, I was sold on Chris' product. Much more substantial.

The GateKeeper at top, the Anti-Tweaker Device at bottom.

The GateKeeper at left, the Anti-Tweaker Device at right.

Amazing how much better the home made product looks, compare to that mass produced cheap A$% other thing. I have had my Anti Tweaker device on and it was the easiest, and first mod I did for my truck.

All good. Your product looks legit. And I forwarded a link to my boss. We lost a couple tailgates from work trucks.
