I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Our new 05 to 2020 Front winch bumper reinforcement brackets have gotten so much interest on IG and FB we decided they needed their own thread here on TW.
When mounting a front "winch" bumper on a Tacoma, A reinforcement bracket of some sort is highly recommended to avoid pulling and bending your frame horns. Most companies now offer one, If they don't stay vary far away if it mounts a winch as it will fail on a hard pull.
Until now if you wanted to run reservoir shocks and have a properly secured winch bumper.
You most likely needed to hack up your resi mounts or come up with some less than desirable way to mount them both.

As we embark into the bumper world we wanted to bring you a strong clean mounting solution. I felt it could be done better so I bring you the BAMF front bumper reinforcement brackets.
Compact light and strong! Formed from a single piece of .188 HRPO and heavily gusseted.
Fully capturing the frame locking the bumper in place.
Three 1/2" grade 8 bolts secure the mount in place two in shear and one in tension providing the clamping force necessary for heavy winching. These brackets are included with our bumpers but they can be ordered alone if you have another manufactures bumper and would like a cleaner/stronger way to secure the bumper. Max bumper mounting thickness .250"

    3D designed in Solidworks
    Laser cut
    CNC formed
    MIG welded

    (Note)
Drilling or modification to your bumper may be needed to run these brackets.

    Compatibility List 05 to 2020

    BAMF : No modification required

    Pelfreybilt : No modification required

Bruteforce : Two holes need to be drilled in the bumper

CBI : Major cutting and drilling required for fitment not recommended

AllPoo : Just toss it in the trash

Mobtown Offroad : Drilling/Cutting may be required

Demello Offroad : Two holes may need to be drilled in the bumper

Relentless Fabrication : Some cutting & Two holes will need to be drilled in the bumper

C4 : Two holes may need to be drilled in the bumper

We will add other manufactures as fitment it's checked.

If you want to check fitment on your bumper post pics of these mounting locations in this thread and we can get a rough idea on what would need to be done to run our brackets.

I have the Relentless Fab Lower Stingray Winch Mount Bumper and this is how a bracket from the bumper to the frame looks. Should I be okay or need to add these as well?

Most certainly! I saw these a couple of weeks ago and was waiting for them to be ready to purchase. I was going to go with C4 fab but I like these better.

You should be fine with what you have Rick, thus is just a different type of bracket but does the same thing. When you put on the Kings, upgrading to these would be better due to the aspect of the reservoir mounting but you should still be ok with what you have.

@JLee I will be ordering soon and I have a SOS streamline bumper. I can get back to you on the fitment. When you say the drilling is required with some bumpers, is it the drilling of the bumper or on the bracket?

Relentless appears to have mimicked ARB reinforcement.

A lot of bumper companies have tie in's back to that point. I can think of a few off the top of my head. Only a couple ways to skin a cat.

Didn't mean to imply otherwise. If you're going to use anything as inspiration you can do worse than ARB, who has the benefit of full blown FMEA and testing. They call those "tension brackets" and they are pretty obviously to prevent the frame racking or distorting during pulls.

ETA: Point being the BAMF (and others) reinforcement is IMO money well spent.

This ^ you should be good for winching but if you add KINGs with resi's you will want to change that mount.
