    Assateague Island -

What an incredible experience! Beach a short walk away from camping, perfect weather, and wild horses roaming about.

We were very lucky that the wind was blowing from the ocean, because we didn’t have to deal with any flies or hardly any mosquitos the whole time!

The horses are like a little gang. They will go into your vehicle and steal any food, or even push your cooler to try and open it!

    - The incident -

It all happened so fast! At dawn, a bunch of horses just started making their rounds. I wanted to take photos, and quickly forgot that we were in the middle of making s’mores and we were obvious targets. As soon as I realized how bold they were, I put the camera down and started gathering food. As I was holding our s’mores materials, I saw a horse try to get into an aloe water. I feared he would get sick if he ate it, so I ran towards the horse with tunnel vision. I didn’t notice the other horse right next to him, and has I grabbed the bottle I realized I was standing directly behind a horse. This is when I realized I was an idiot and I ended up getting kicked in the knee! Thankfully it wasn’t bad, but it happened!

Other than that little event, the whole trip was amazing. Easy drive there, where I set up the tent with the annex room by myself in 20 min in the dark!

Our camping setup is getting very dialed, and there are less and less inefficiencies each time!

Some things to bring for camping trip:

Butter or PAM (we always forget somehow)
    Oven mits
    Clorox wipes
Lumin noodle for the annex room

    Now for the pics:

And there we go, all packed up and on our way back home.

Of course, on our way back we went through a hailstorm which earned me a new dent on the hood. So I got a nice welcome home present from PA :)

my MIL has a house in OC and I got a beach access pass for Assateague Island. The wild horses are quite a sight to see up that close, I will have to keep in mind how bold they are when we get out onto the beach this season.

There are several, but the ones that are the best IMO are always booked out. I had to book out 6 months in advance to get the spot I had, and it isn't even the spot I wanted. The spot I wanted was snatched while I was entering in CC information!

They are very bold! not only will they rummage through any open doors to get food, but they'll take it out of your hands! I stored our dry foods in the Annex room, or in the bed of my truck with the tailgate closed and the topper flap down.

It was a great spot! We're going again next year for sure!

that was a few years ago, new shocks, new inner and outer tie rods, and new CVJ axles.

My CVJ axles had defects so the outer boot on one is torn and the other will be torn so they're basically warranting them.

Then I while I do that I figured the ECGS bushing was in order, and would maybe help out my random wobble at 55- 60 mph (i've had this issue on 3 sets of wheels and tires).

while the front end is apart anyways, I should throw some new UCA balljoints in (still need to buy)

then eventually when released the Marlin Crawler LCA brace kit.

I have Poly steering rack bushings as well, whenever @Arcticelf and I have time for a new rack lol

Oh, and I have HD shackle hangers waiting to be installed as well.

So much to do and no time for any of it lol

Im waiting on my RCV axles to come in, but your CVJ axles are lifetime warranty as well right? Def sucks you are doing the front end again.

IDK if they have a lifetime warranty, but their boots were inferior to what they have now, and I emailed them saying how they lasted less than a year and a half. They are a good company and are taking care of me, and my cost will be my time and the cost of new boots (even though I'm getting completely new axles).

Thats good to know that they are taking care of you. I went with RCV cause they will lifetime anything for their ultimate axles unless I run 40" size tires or bigger. Given my track record I need that guarantee.

SPF. You mean do both the Marlin kit and the TC kit together?
