    :pccoffee:

Ran out of coffee this week and keep forgetting to go to the grocery store.

Also, girls are still at the hospital. Amelia (the smaller one) keeps having issues with feeding. She de-saturates her oxygen concentrations while eating so they want to monitor her. That was 2 days ago and they said 48 hours. Just waiting to hear from Dr.

We figured out that if we changed up her feeding position she doesn't do it. So hopefully they take that as a win and send her home. We have to feed her more horizontally, slightly tilted to one side, with the bottle also more horizontal to slow down the flow, and use slow flow nipples. My belief is that she gets overwhelmed with the flow and cant keep up so she coughs and struggles to breath similar to an adult would do when drowning from drinking too fast or whatever.

So frustrating. I know it could be so much worse, and what she is doing is obviously concerning, but they're so close to going home and now its just a sit and wait. Mama is about to lose it if they tell her they have to stay another day and I'm stuck at work conserving my vacation time for when they're home. :pout::smash:

Nope not yet. Gotta get my fox’s and UCAs on first. 285s won’t fit right now. But they’re in the box at the house.

    You're upstate right?

Do we have anyone going that direction?

I brought it with me to gulches a few weeks ago, wish I had left it with someone from around there.

I might could mail it flat rate.

What size nipples are you using? We had a similar issue and had to buy the special preemie ones. They are super low flow.

    Fucking Saturday.

The nurse last night fed her and she did it again so it sounds like they want 48hrs without incident. Now mama wants to go every time to ensure mistakes aren't made. To me, if it only happens in certain conditions then that condition is the cause of it. So don't do it that way and there's no issue. Not happy with the whole situation. They don't have a speech therapist there helping, they're having to consult their sister hospital and a different doctor comes in every day. No continuity at all and no specialist seeing her to make these decisions.

Also went out on lunch to get coffee. Two bakery's in town that advertise coffee. One closed at 2, the other had a Keurig machine... :annoyed:

@SearArtist we have a Dr browns slow flow and they're using enfamil slow flow nipples in the NICU now. Thank you for the offer though.:fistbump:

No worries mate, just trying to help a brother out. Get the nipples with a "P" on them...not the 0's...should be able to find them at Walmart or Target. I think we switched to the 0's around month 2-3. Once you hit #4 you know you're getting close to making the switch to whole milk...that was around month 11 for us.
