Nice! I too bought a pair of those badges. Mine have helped up fine, but from what a few others have said, the 3M on the back is kind of weak and some have fallen off after car washes and what not. To remedy that issue (again mine are perfectly fine, yours may work just as good too), people are taking the 3M tape off the back of the badges and using liquid adhesive from an auto parts store on the ridges to help it stay on the vehicle.

I didn't plan on relying on the tape. I didn't use the tape for the letters that came with the fake TRD pro grille either. I used Automotive GOOP for the Letters and that held up well. Not sure if GOOP is safe for paint though.

How many owners want a faux TRD Pro badge on the front doors? Installing Pro emblems on a non-PRO model is pretty lame IMHO.

I’m not a fan of them. Looks tacky like the “raptor lights” lol. But hey, your money, your truck.

Yeah why would you? It's not a pro so why would you put pro badges on it?

It doesn't say TRD pro on the badge through. I personally like the clean look, and I recently took off all the factory decals and badges.

I also have the clearance Amber markers that 4Runner guys use. I wouldn't call them raptor lights.

I had a crappy experience with mine, they fell off within hours of attaching. I was using 3M double sided tape that the vendor provided. I ended up using the 3M liquid adhesive and they held up fine. My only problem now is you gotta be cautious with the adhesive as now I got a bit showing and it drives me crazy! I’m afraid of taking it off cause I am not sure what kind of damage could occur to the paint. But...IMO they still nice.

To ensure the badge sticks, you can apply 3M adhesive promoter onto the 3M tape, before sticking the badge on the truck.

You can buy 3M adhesive promoter on Amazon or at your local home paint store. It works like a charm.

Big ones are King suspension, SSO bumper w/winch, Pelfreybuilt sliders.
I think the best way to do it is to fill in the honycomb's on the back with epoxy, make it flat with a putty knife, and then when it dries sand it for some grit. Then use isopropyl alcohol on the truck to strip off the wax for a strong bonding surface and use high strength double-sided 3M tape.

Edit: The epoxy weighed down the badge a ton. Don't recommend this after all.

Did you use this method? If so, how did it hold up? I bought the badges but don’t really want to use the adhesive. Also nervous about stripping off the wax with alcohol. Basically I want to be able to go backwards if I so choose... let me know!

Most of them are pre-backed with peel and stick 3M adhesive tape.
