Replaced my drivers side inside door panel. Installed driver and passenger a-pillar trim and grab handles.
Removed the ground for the CH4x4 lights and tapped into "J3" junction connector (ILL -) so I can dim them with the dash lights.

Finally got the ECGS bushing in and everything back together. Took twice as long as it should and cost me a new axleshaft. That first grinding/vibration free drive made it worth all the work and aggravation though.

Began the Iron Man tribute to my '05 by plasti dipping the door badges. I have plans for an Arc Reactor type light in the center of the grille. Open to suggestions especially when it comes to what to do to the wheels.

Put the CaliRaised ditch light brackets and lights on today. Wired them up to a AOB switch.

Opened the opener and found the 2 contact points on the board that control the door open/close. Then I just soldered the wires to each contact and to the switch. It works perfect and no one would suspect the little button opens the garage door. I did it just to make it look nicer than having the door opener attached to my sun visor.

Still continuing my front suspension quest for greatness. Today tackled the lower control arm bushings. Then noticed the front diff axle seal was leaking so figured this was a good time to change it. Thanks to my fellow tacoma owner and mechanic buddy that let me use his shop and tools. Lower control arm bushings and alignment cams were horrible. Only had grey primer for the lower control arms. I'm ok with it haha.

I dredged up this old thread and the TW members in it were super helpful. It had most of the info, but the spec sheets in that thread gave me the (chamfer to the outside on the snap ring and gap setting for the clutch plate 0.012-0.024)

The first snap ring is a bear, I had to cut up tools to get it done. But if you run the bypass belt like I did, then you can screw around for 3 months like I did. Hahaha

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/a-c-compressor-seized.485113/

    I ordered something like this.

    Clutch AC Complete Clutch Fits OE Compressor Toyota Tacoma 2005-2015 2.7L 4.0L; 2016 2.7L 3.5L https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J9XVYFM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_1hwbDbR0XFGM7

It had a few negative reviews about the anti rotation point on the magnet not being very sturdy, so I cut off the tip of a Pem Stud, TPS-187-6, and filled the extrusion. The OME was solid, aftermarket was hollow extrusion. It’s not going anywhere now.

I hope you reused the shim that was in there.

You have zero chance of missing fun! I love it.

Where ya headed? Asking for a friend.

I used the original bolt (lock tight blue) and the original shim kit (checked spec with feeler gauge) I did use the new snap rings. But they checked close to the old ones with calipers.

I made the mistake of leaving out the shim one time, it was stuck in the old part.

Not much, just adjusted the new Kings, had some Taco lean going on and little bit of settling after a couple of weeks since I installed them.
